a friend of mine would like to come to the peak district to get some climbing done, and he asked me about some cheap hostel or the likes, in sheffield or close to the boulders (he'll have a car).
fortunately, i've always been hosted by friends, so i don't know what to suggest him.
can you help me help a friend?

What time of year? Camping at North Lees is always a good bet. Otherwise there are bunkhouses around hathersage.

Sorry to digress, but is that Hotel on the corner by the turnoff to Bamford still closed down? Always thought that would make an excellent bunkhouse. Been ages since I went past though.

Yeah. It got half knocked down at some point, then development seemed to stop.
