Anyone else noticed the Unread Posts view doesn't work right?

For example, I just saw a thread appear down the bottom of the main page as one of the latest posts, a thread I haven't read yet but that thread doesn't appear in the unread posts view.

Also, say when I'm on at one machine I get a certain list, then I go home and view from my phone and I get a totally different list of "unread posts", uncluding many that occured earlier in the day when I was on the other machine but they never appeared.

Question? Something is fucked up.

Staying logged in on more than one machine screws it up. I think you need to manually logout when you leave that machine if you want the other one's unread posts to make sense.

Does closing the browser etc not count as logging out then?

I don't think it does always, no. It's hard to say for definite whether this is the cause, but when people have had this issue, there always seems to be more than one machine involved. Actually, it might be more than one IP as when I have two PCs on the same network accessing the forum, it seems to work as expected.

Well I'm never accessing from more than one machine at once, but i never log out, just close the browser. I might try logging out for a week or so.

I regulary log on 3 different machines and its quite annoying (2 on one router and on mobile phone as well)

Ah the naivety of he who never has to implement these things. Quite annoying but not show stopping = just live with it (you'll cope)
