Which software would you recommend for making some music!

Just something quite basic. Add music over the top of other tracks, speed up, slow down.

Not exaclty pro DJ level, so something a bit more home user!

Posted this on CT aswell, but reckon most of you will know the score on this?!

you could try soundforge or cubase, or if you wanna get raw with the fever on the dancefloor making shit from scratch you might wanna try Fruityloops/Fruitytracks.

Propellerhead Reason is the tits for making stuff from scratch, but takes a while to learn how to use.

What your describing is more like a mixing desk - Protools is supposed to be good but I think the free one only works on win98.

There's various flavours of Cubase, one of which may be what your after.

Cool, just downloading Fruityloops and Qubase now. So hopefully do the job!

Reason is like Fruityloops but bigger and badder - give it a go, it's great fun - lots of info at http://www.reasonstation.net too.

Wow, just checked the Propellerhead site and there's an interview with Liam Howlett on there where he's saying (re The Prodigy) " Literally everything you'll hear on the new album has been written on Reason"

Cheers guys, gone for Acid Pro 4.0 :-)

Having tried the others, it seemed pretty simple and easy to use
