physio in the southwest?

areet. any one know a good climbing physio near exeter/plymouth/brizzle? my shoulders are feeling done in and need to get sorted soon as. also, how much does it cost to see a physio? (punter.yes i know.)

Hi mate.

Claire at the Climbing Academy in Bristol is good.  I'm sure a lot of people will vouch for her.  She got recomended to me by several people on UKC. Think you're probs looking at about £40 a session give or take a fiver. Have you considered the NHS though? I was put off because I heard waiting times were awful (and in some areas they may well be!) but the last one I went to see was through the NHS, and I didn't have to wait long at all, so always worth a shot.

Good luck with your shoulders, hope it's nothing serious.

I can personally vouch for Matt Maran at the Climbing Academy. He sorted my elbows/general hunched climbers posture out a treat. He specialises in Rolfing massage which hurts like hell but does the trick.
