Anyone up that way know if its covered in snow? Looking great weather for weekend, wondering what chances of it being good are?

If Bowden is too snowy, which I doubt (might only be on the tops and poss meltwater streaks) then Back Bowden is close at hand and there will always be stuff to do there. If you park round the back it is easy to get between the two.

If windy and sunny, should be.

Went up yesterday mate, thick of snow on the ground which makes keeping things dry e.g. shoes, mat, bag, arse etc very tricky and the whole place was wet apart from the first two moves of y-front and  the undercut on working class! Massive amount of drainage from the melting snow at the top and there is a Swimming Pool underneath the cave which will easily take two to three weeks of cold dry weather to shift!

Don't waste your time trying it like I did, the woods should be ok though, I've heard good things, I'll probably be there on Sunday myself!

Has anyone been here recently?

Last time I was there the area under the cave was a lake. Is that a winter phenomenon or am I likely to find it waterlogged now?
Hoping to start a relationship with Sprung next week
Cheers

The Bowden lake is a winter phenomenon normally, I'm going up tomorrow to try sprung myself (weather permitting) so if I remember I will let you know about the conditions.
