Acer are recalling tens of thousands of laptops as they may at risk of overheating and possible injury.

Mine overheats and shuts itself down constantly, but it's not a model being recalled  :-\

try underclocking it andi and only using it on a hard flat surface

how do i go about underclocking it? i always put it on a table nowadays, even then it still goes tits-up occasionally. tends to be when i'm watching something full-screen.

have you tried googling about your particular model and 'overheating', I think someone will have a solution somewhere
