New Red Chili shoe... "Urban Climber"
December 11, 2009, 04:10:04 pm
Terrible name, awful colours, but wonder if it'll be good at what it's intended for? I.e. indoor climbing with occasional outdoor use...

The bit the interested me the most was "and makes it a street runner too...." - which suggests it's comfortable enough to run in, so is this aimed at parkours/free-runners who boulder I wonder..

I love my Spirit VCRs as a comfy indoor shoe, wonder if this could replace them?

That write up is appalling, but I quite like the look of the loop at the back, as opposed to the usual sewn in tabs.

The write up is gash, but the actual shoe looks alright.  I might have to try a pair, I go through the toes on mine really fast.   :-[

Yeah - the write up makes me nervous with the amount of times they mention the "cool styling" or other things about it's looks, as opposed to anything vaguely technical.

Can't find a price either - but if they're designed for indoor wear & tear, extra £££ could be good for longevity...

yeh, they're so smart at red chili, right when everyone is all about downturned shoes, they pull out what seems an uptuned shoe.
shizam!

I can't stand the colours - it would be like wearing Orville on your feet, all they need now is an air bubble.

Whatever happened to just wearing your old outdoor shoes indoors!  :-\
These look a bit iffy but I agree the loop for pulling on is a good idea.

Seen a couple of these at the wall recently - they're as garish in real life as they are on the website, can't find any reviews for them yet so don't know if performance outweighs the nu-rave colours.

Indoor climbing shoes, what utter nonsense. For a start you can climb 90% of indoor stuff in clogs as the holds are so big, secondly they wear down shoes waaaay less than climbing outside.

Are they infused with platinum too??
