I cannot get Jay-Z's current single out of my head  :furious:

not normally a bad thing but the stuck bit is Ms Keys bellowing the chorus.

questions :

do you think he specified tuneless bellowng or do you reckon that was her idea ?

why Empire state? what empire?

is anybody else having this problem?

Probably a combined effort.

No, I don't even know what tune you're talking about, todays music has consisted mainly of Surgeon, Andrew Weatherall, Evil Nine, Tocadisco, Ambivalent and Groove Armada (to drown out the whittering of my office co-habitors, who need to turn the volume down on their voice boxes!!!).

Bridget Kelly sings it much better than Alicia Keys. Great voice.

I assumed it was Jay-Z being dead clever like and combining Empire State Building with New York State of Mind and getting Empire State of Mind.

He's good at stuff like that.

Yes, but it is called the empire state building got it's name because it is in the empire state?

So both from the same place, essentially. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_State_Building
