Some sites won't allow you to link their images - you can either pick another avatar or send me the image and I can host it on ukb (as long as it's not a copyrighted image).

The image I want to use for my avatar is 110pixels wide, 72dpi and still too big. Even when it is tinyer, the file size it too large. Why is that?
Is there anything I might be missing about the image? the colours are 8 bit per channel?
an avater less than a cm high, which is still too big is not much use...
