Almscliff??
November 03, 2009, 08:51:10 pm
Hello,
Having managed to move a meeting forward from 2 to 11 tomorrow (wed), I'm hoping to head over to the cliff for about 1pm if anyone fancies it - weather permitting, the forecast is half decent...

Sounds like a good alternative - whereabouts there are you planning to head? Prob over about 1-1:30... T

You Made the right call bailing out from the cliff... it was not raining but ground and rock was soaked when I arrived. Underneath the virgin was fine, but there was a group of folks there - Si's arete was OK, as was Demon wall roof - though Belly slap and anything to the right of the crucifix was soaked - even the low traverse... But managed to get DWR on the second go  then about 1/2 hour after I arrived the heavens opened and I scurried back to the car....

Good work for sticking it out, I'm glad my 'cliff sense' is suitably calibrated for this year now!

He said:
AH, that is most interesting.  Personally, I will be visiting Brimham Rocks on the morrow, presuming that the weather remains clement.  I was wondering if you would do me the honour of joining me.
Don'tchaknow.

If it stays dry on Sunday the Cliff will have plenty of dry stuff to go at.  Earl is less reliable, especially after a soaking.

Planning to head over tomorrow lunchtime (12ish) as long as the rain-radar's looking OK...
Anyone else about/interested?
