Trigger finger
September 04, 2009, 09:20:08 am
Anyone out there had trigger finger ?  I have it in both ring fingers, not originally brought on by climbing (it makes an appearance ever now and then), but possibly climbing does occasionally agitate it.

I dont get it too bad, fingers arent locked and they typically only "trigger" in the mornings.

I was just wondering if anyone out there has had to deal with it ?

Apparently, the most effective solution is to cut the A1 pulley - but am obviously concerned about what impact this might have!

I have it in my left middle finger, haven't been able to climb for the last 2 months, because of it :(,
have been researching conservative solutions, and am getting some relief with extensor-traning, also get mild carpal tunnel symptoms, so hoping it might help with that.
