Episode 7 is perhaps a bit unnecessary though and simply seems to exist to spell the plot out for anyone failing to keep up?

Another recommendation from my our council telly correspondent, ITV this time: Fearless, possibly recommended on here when it came out in 2017. Excellent cast, kept me interested until the last (6th) episode and although the plot twists/co-incidences get a bit more unlikely as the series goes on I think that comes with the terrain and I was happy to go along with it whereas normally I’m not.

The second series of Time is now on iPlayer (I'm not sure how long it's been there). The first was pretty tense and had Sean Bean as the lead in a male prison (with Stephen Graham as an Officer):
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13138834/

For the second series, it's now set in a female prison and the only crossover I could remember was the character playing the Chaplain (Siobhan Finneran).

Each series has 3 x 1h episodes so it's not a huge time commitment:

Enjoying Bodies, currently on netflix. It's not as great as some reviewers seemed to think, but it is compelling and very nicely made.

Enjoyable tosh, anything time-hoppy normally makes my head hurt, but I wasn’t in too much pain with this.

For Stephen Graham completists the 4-part TV follow up to last year’s Boiling Point movie is good. Don’t binge it though, it’ll give you indigestion,

Help is also still on All4, brilliant mid pandemic ‘one night in a care home’ staff stretched too thin. Hopefully now a period piece.

Brawn: The impossible F1 story has just been released on Disney+.

It's a docuseries with Keanu Reeves narrating.

I can remember that F1 season so clearly and one of the things I've enjoyed about F1 were the engineering developments, the double diffuser in this instance and later from over-caffeinated sugary drink company the blown diffuser.

Vigil has just started a second season on iPlayer. The first episode is enjoyable and promising.

That's good to hear.

Did anyone persevere with Boat Story (also on iPlayer)? I watched the first few but gave up.

Boat story. Yes. Loved it. Comparable to Outlaws I thought. A dark, depressing back drop but clever and funny.

Totally agree Ged, loved it. Really well put together, very funny and as dark December evening in rural Devon!

Just finished the third series of Reservation Dogs.

I've enjoyed being taken on a slightly surreal journey, been educated and had all my emotions exercised.

We've been watching a ridiculous amount of TV recently (probably because Lancashire skipped Autumn and moved quickly to full Winter). Currently we're rinsing a Paramount+ subscription (you can get a 7-day free trial):

Yellowstone - Kevin Costner growling. Kelly Reilly is very good as Beth Dutton.
1883 - Isabel May is really good in this as Elsa Dutton and carries the whole thing. Other lead roles are played by country singers (Faith Hill and Tim McGraw - Barrows will get excited)
1923 - Didn't enjoy this as much but potentially because I'd reached saturation. It's got Harrison Ford (growling like Kevin Costner) and Helen Mirren.

The recommended order to watch the series is as above. They're all very similar in that it's about the various leads protecting whatever they own (eventually a ranch in Montana called the Yellowstone) from people trying to steal from them/it or take the land or etc.

Men Up on iPlayer.

The story of the clinical trial for Viagra in 90s Wales
Didn't really fancy this but Mrs.S had read good reviews so we gave it a shot.
All the usual clichéd plaudits ie.funny, moving, human blah blah and a great wee film worthy of 90mins of your time.

Not sure if I saw it mentioned here. I watched Planet Earth 3 with the kids and we all enjoyed it a lot. Plenty of new-to-me critters and behaviours with the usual high production value.

Everyone should watch Mr Bates vs. the Post Office on ITV/ITVX.

I'd also recommend following Dan Neidle on Twitter if you don't already.

Edit: I meant the dramatisation which is 4x1h but there's also a 1h documentary too.

I'd recommend a Google to get to the original Private Eye articles - go to the source. Incredible stuff.

Totally agree, essential viewing and brilliantly done.  Knew a bit about the scandal but this leaves you open mouthed with anger and completely caught up with the pain of the victims.

This might make it sound like a hard watch but it's actually incredibly watchable with a real positive feeling for the people fighting against the odds.

Them and the BBC, who had a long running podcast series on these cases a good while ago.

For an exceptional piece of animation, Blue Eye Samurai, on Netflix is very good indeed.
I liked the art work of https://www.instagram.com/briankesinger?igsh=YnA1Z3hwaG10eG9m and have been meaning to watch the first season and started tonight. Did not disappoint.

I also really liked it, although I am admittedly a sucker for anything set in Japan and involving lots of very bloody yet elegant samurai combat!

I also really warmed to the live action version of One Piece, also on Netflix. An episode in, I was ready to bail - it just seemed too silly and childish for me to persist with. But I then found myself carried along and wanted more at the end - so exuberant and fun (admittedly, I might have remained cynical if I hadn't been in such dire need for light relief at the time!).

I've been watching a Spanish series on Netflix call e Money Heist. I'm a sucker for any heist films or programmes but I've been up till the wee small hours many times as I'm unable to stop watching! Always a good sign

I tried money heist but it just felt like it was made to be dragged out indefinitely (netflixitus) and so only made it a few episodes. Someone recommended it to me though, so you definitely aren't alone!
