Really enjoying The Saboteurs:

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-saboteurs

Indeed - good stuff

Odyssey on BBC is pretty good too - in a homeland style terrorism conspiracy shizz stylee.. (and also starring Anna Friel - who I once met in the Skyrack* in Headingley).

*OK, 'met' is a bit economical with the truth. I was on the other side of the room... and it was crowded.

I don't mind the sabateurs, "handsome" rather than entertaining. Personally think odyssey is laughably awful though, gets the proper "Basil Exposition" seal of approval! The new french series on channel 4, Witnesses, seems decent. Like The Bridge or The Returned crossed with that The Missing. Though how much of the air of quality is due to the chilly Gallic cool is hard to judge. Would it seem so sophisticated if it had the same script but was set in Birmingham?

The actor who plays Paul Maisonneuve is "Doc Martin" in the french apadpation. Can you imagine Martin Clunes bringing the same gravitas?

in related news, I see that Mr Compensator are opening a new office on Abbeydale Road

I do hope they get a Brian Blessed look/sound alike to open it - he'd look ace riding the gold painted taxi they have mounted on the roof of the building

I'm bullseye of the target audience (I think I saw every band featured in episode one other than The Sex Pistols) but I thought this was great. Stuart Mahoney is considerably over-exposed but at least this is his home turf.

Joy Division, the film, is also on iPlayer currently. I enjoyed this, but as my only significant new route is called Unknown Pleasures you might have guessed that!

It's audio from World Service iPlayer Radio but there's a little bit on Sport Climbing featuring Sean McColl:
