A few episodes in, I'm really enjoying "Homeland"

great premise, great acting and so far, goood pacing. Hope it continues for all 12 episodes.

(don't give anything way as I'm a bit behind where they are on telly!)

Likewise, caught a bit of an episode the other day, thought it looked good so watched ep1 last night. Its worth a watch plus I get to watch Ms Danes whom I've had a bit of a thing for since My So Called Life

Quite. Still amazes me that Damian Lewis is actually a Brit. Up there with Ed Westwick and Dominic West in the doing the accent well stakes.

It started well, but then nothing really happened for a few episodes and now I'm bored of it. Clare Danes improves the matter though.

I recommend watching "Round Ireland with a Fridge" because it's light-hearted and funny and on iPlayer now. Must get round to reading the book some time...

Just to echo what everyone (except Andi) has said about Homeland, it's excellent, I'm hooked  http://www.channel4.com/programmes/homeland/4od

Another motorsport offering directed by Rich Heap:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01fcncc/Madness_on_Wheels_Rallyings_Craziest_Years/

Its well worth a watch. I even thought it was better than F1: The Killer Years. Group B looked insane!

I used to get the school bus past a garage that always had a 6r4 in the window, it just looked crazy.

Nice one Paul. Saw the trailer for this a week or so ago but didn't want to fork out £20 for the DVD.

I always wanted a 205 T16 myself (still do if I'm honest.......)

would have to spend about 100k more than the £20 you didnt want to spend on a dvd

not seen a t16 running but saw 1 parked.seen most of the other group b's running.

just watched it again on bbc4,really enjoyed it.

Did you ever see this beast running?

Possibly the closest thing to a modern day Group B machine. More info here if anyone's interested.

Really good film showing the highs & lows of Group B in a level-headed way, without getting hysterical about the dangers.  I reckon it was amazing more people didn't come to harm - cars doing 120mph on gravel tracks coupled with almost negligent "crowd control" at many venues.

I was lucky enough to stand feet from these cars in action on the '84 RAC Rally in the Welsh forests. The noise and pace was quite something to witness.

some of the pikes peak cars from the kiwi and the old jap bloke are the craziest cars for dirt around

as good as the old gpb cars were they are not a patch on modern wrc cars

did you ever hear the utterly stupid myth that an s4 lapped estoril in a time that would have qualified in 6th!!!!
considering f1 qualifying cars were around 1400hp and 600kg makes it even more laughable
but dont dare tell the morons on utube who think the s4 is the quickest car to ever race.

I should hope so given the 25+ years of development they've had :)

Wonder if it was really "Toivonen lapped Estoril in an F1 car at a speed that would have qualified 6th" ;)

Possibly.just 1 watch from a qualifying vid from that era makes you know its def a myth.

There's a vid called climb dance with a 405 t16 that's well worth watching.

I know the McRae video is nothing to do with Group B but it's worth a watch just for the totally outrageous pace and him managing to do things I wouldn't have thought possible to get away with. Totally sick.

That's truly mental. Especially considering it was 30 years ago and safety was non existent. The speed at which the corners come up is scarily quick!
