The Redemption of General Butt Naked. Just watched it now and catch up. Very sad stories.

+1 for that, top stuff. Photography was incredible, was expecting a making of to fill the ad gap for the foreign markets, but good to see BBC still unashamedly making hour long progs for their own use only.

Quality - I was just coming on here to put a link for that Turkey programme thinking no one will have watched it as it seems quite obscure......... but Will's already there!

Brilliant feature. Very touching and fascinating at the same time, although I do have a slight bias being an obsessed chicken owner  :)

Tis indeed, though its at least the third time its been repeated now. I'd always prefer a bit more focus on the animal than the presenter, but its always good to see a man in genuine fear!

Firstly, natural world was incredible.

Graffiti wars and Concrete Circus are both well worth a watch too. The former I found really interesting as I didn't know anything about so-called graffiti etiquette and the differing treatment of it, and street-art.

The Danny Macaskill section of CC was unsurprisingly amazing but the skateboarding, flatland and parkour sequences left me a little un-enthused.

I was blown away by the guy's skateboarding, probably because I've never seen anything like it, but seen recent vids of all the other sports.

A bit more extreme urban sports (or should that be sportz?):

Was out last night so haven't actually watched it yet, but BBC Natural History Unit rarely has poor output...

It was totally amazing. About the first time I've thought I need HD.

It was a cracker!
Although...
The best bit is the 5 min "making of" bit at the end.
Brings back memories!

It was a cracker!

this is a real "cracker"!

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/crack-house/4od

.... and its not about the Wide-boyz cellar!

A Chicago gang moved into Rockford and the ATF decided to take them down.  Knowing that the gang needed a safe-house, they got an informant to recommend a location they'd wired up with CCTV and microphones.  The programme uses loads of the raw footage from the gang's occupation and its compelling stuff, despite largely comprising people playing Xbox... whilst chatting about the day's shootings.

Especially worth a watch for fans of The Wire.  It's amazing how familiar the procedures and situations feel; although there's no danger of feeling any sympathy for the real gangsters as they're a deeply horrible bunch.
