It depends on what you're used to.

To me 16-19 C is cold (our normal winter daytime temperature) - Back in England, that would be a blamy summers day 

Winters mornings are around 6-10 C which is about about as good as it gets and is pretty cold and (imho) Down-worthy. Gets much colder (snow occassionaly) in the Blue Mountains and further out, in places like Tarana, its sub-zero at night in Winter with regular heavy frosts.

Cheeky devil!  You pull our legs!  It's getting hotter - add another 10°.  (Here, it was 38.5°C t'other day.  Hottest on record). 

But you're right, conditions are a myth everywhere but the Peak.  How hot is it when it's hot where you are?

Houdini - It was 48 C last New Years day and does bust 50 from time to time. Nothing to do but stay indoors with fan/air con blazing!

SA Chris - Yeah, I think they're pretty old. I'd never seen them before and I'd never seen them posted up anywhere so I stuck 'em on. Not much done like that at all. Theres 2 aretes at the Fear Factory (V5 and V7) that were top-roped previously before being soloed, but that about it afaik

P.S. Is that quite a short route or have you grown even taller?

I haven't grown taller, no. The route is about 8-10m, VS I did to warm up for a route around the corner in the shade. Is a bit foreshortened by the photo, possibly because it is actually quite steep.

Reiff is basically Stanage by the sea; most routes about 8-20m.
