Not wishing to start a helmet debate but I always wear mine when doing sport or trad. I think the only times I dont wear it are indoors or bouldering. There's just so few arguments against wearing one. Having your brains all over the place looks even less cool than wearing a helmet. I've got the Petzl Meteor MK3 and forget that I'm wearing it. Doesn't affect balance or anything and I've saved myself some fairly nasty knocks in the year or so that I've had it.
