a flake has broken off leaving a nice left foot edge meaning you can lay your knee on.  :)

Wonder who could have broke that?  ::)

some of the best rock we have in Belgium (the Al'legne in freyr)

spent 4 days spread over 4 weeks trying the crux just above me in the photo. still haven't done it although i have multiple methods but the crux holds are so small and sharp. after two attempts they cut through your skin like a knife so everything you try after that is just torture, a lot of blood, lots of chalk to cover it and even more frustration. I even used a cheatstick today for the first time ever  :spank: so i could at least check out the next moves. unfortunately the damage was already too big so now i feel frustrated AND dirty. this might be a good time to start with the "the time to start training is when you stop improving"-philosophy.

That is brilliant. Where is it? The water looks so clear, it looks like a swimming pool!

Its somewhere in Greece that is apparently 'secret'.

89 days.  Went to Joshua Tree as well. And New Mexico.

J Tree is amazing, but it was really really hard to find people more into climbing than shrooms or weed.

90 day visa then? :) Been to Red Rocks and J Tree and loved them both. J Tree probably not best location for starting climbing trip after wearing gloves every day for 4 months though. Love to explore Colorado a bit more, Boulder Canyon was the only place I did any routes.

I'd no  i d e a  Stig of the Dump bouldered (?!)

Also I'm blown away by the poor belaying on the Equilibrium shot!!

Since when has it ever been sound practice to stand that far away from the crag?  And on a route you're utterly likely to fall off!  Madness & irresponsibility.

I do agree though, Houdini.

Who is it doing equilibrium? I thought it was just the Neils and The James who had done it.

That is Neil Gresham "on an attempt"

The belaying stance probably has to do with a belayer preparing to run backwards as fast as his little legs can carry him...

Those photos and lots of words about headpointing over here: http://www.planetfear.com/article_detail.asp?a_id=157

The dream grit headpointing list is a bit out of date (odd, as this is a recent article):

Quote
Route                             First Ascent              Known Repeats
Equilibrium E10 7a    Neil Bentley              Neil Gresham
Blind Vision E10 7a/b   Adrian Berry             None
Doctor Dolittle E10 7a    John Arran            None
Widdop Wall E9 7a   John Dunne          None
Harder, Faster E9 7a   Charlie Woodburn      None
The Zone E9 6c           John Arran           Chris Cubbit
Parthian Shot E9 6c   John Dunne         Seb Grieve, Neil Bentley, Nick Sellers
Meshuga E9 6c           Seb Grieve           Neil Gresham, Tom De Gay, Tim Emmet

Its not that recent - Says it was first published 18 August 2003 at the bottom. I imagine the date at the top relates to when Berry reloaded it on PF.

A snap I've recently straightened out (the horizon was askew, or was it the camera?) from my first trip to Lundy last year.  Some random climber on Satan's Slip...

"Thankyou POD.  I'll always support your amazing homegrown product".

POD product is now made in China. He sold to Equip last Autumn. He's been approving all the samples so it may still be resonably well made but none of the new stuff has actually arrived yet - it's at least 2 months late.
