Well, I don't know what to think. Followed West Ham since the early seventies and I'm not sure I've actually seen a better team than the one that's sitting deservedly in the top half of the Prem. I've witnessed some awful football the last few seasons and suddenly, after a few signings that have excelled, we're playing with a confidence that's not been seen at the Bolynn for a very long time.

All week, I've been thinking that a win over Citeh was a real proposition but I seriously didn't expect to come away thinking we could have had more goals. Great stuff.

Top four and we've played a few of the teams at the top, being that high would have been great even if it was the bottom teams. It's all a bit disconcerting really. I may have altitude sickness.

Saw them come back from being 2:0 down at the KC earlier in the year.. They were impressive and dangerous. Not the same squad as last year. SAMs got it right with Valencia and Sahko.

Typical City  :slap:

I'll just keep quoting myself.

West Ham were great, all up for it, fantastic goalkeeper, great strikers and solid midfield & Sam's tactics spot on.  We were set up wrong from the start. 4-4-2 just isn't our formation.  Silvia's goal was an absolute peach though.

Well deserved win Kelvin.

TomTom. - I had a feeling this morning that Hull were going to do well.

Yeah - the red scousers have looked dodgy this season... TBH I think we were lucky to get a draw today - and unlucky to lose to Arsenal last week... but on the balance 2 points from both games is a great result...

We've been far from convincing all season and are shaping up to be a dead ringer for spurs at the moment with a dodgy defence, blunted strikers and too many midfielders who all do a similar job bar the excellent Raheem.

I was worried about hull and am glad the reds are only 2 points off 4th place considering the sketchy performances and results.

It won't get much better if we end up in the Europa from a 3rd place champions league group finish!

The change of pace, slow, fast in the middle of the run was something else and I thought that the game was set to turn. Terrific goal, it really was.

Again... What a poor show.  4-4-2 doesn't suit us.  No energy and no creativity (apart from Silva).  Mangala is awful... Teams have sussed us out. Defend deep and catch us on the break.  All very worrying and a fucking derby on Sunday against a resurgent Man U.

Newcastle like a West Ham deserved all that.  Outplayed and outsmarted.  :(

Good write up on the FIFA World Cup investigation on the NY Times website

Quote
“The Russia 2018 Bid Committee made only a limited amount of documents available for review, which was explained by the fact that the computers used at the time by the Russian Bid Committee had been leased and then returned to their owner after the Bidding Process. The owner has confirmed that the computers were destroyed in the meantime.”

It's getting to the "you couldn't make it up" point with FIFA. The Daily Mash would struggle to parody the latest farce.

If only UEFA had the balls to pull out of Fifa.. Maybe their president... Oh.. It's Platini..

Apparently (C4news) the FBI are investigating.. They tend to keep needling away so you never know...

Fucking hell FA cup draw- after conceding an injury time equaliser on Saturday Mansfield now have to replay against Cambridge for a glamour tie against against... either Bury or Luton, who'll probably stuff us like they already have in the league. Given our injury problems (we couldn't fill the bench for one game  :o) it would probably just be better to let Cambridge through and concentrate on avoiding the drop.

At least Chesterfield look likely to be disqualified for fielding an ineligible player
