Thank flip the prem is back this weekend.  Should be a good one for our FF league too as there are some fixtures that could deliver big score lines.

Heads up: today (Tuesday) the Racing Post comes with the big Champions League pull-out - lots of stats and team analysis, always good if you want to win football-hipster arguments about the relative merits of the Plzen and Kobenhavn pressing games.

Has Schteeve still got his Dutch inflection going on?

Poor Derby, what were they thinking....

Candidate for worst advertising slogan ever from the head of the Qatari World Cup preparations "This is not a World Cup being built on the blood of innocents."  Do you reckon that one was on the bid document?  Maybe they'll have bumper stickers.... perhaps a World Cup mascot of a gang-master benignly refusing to use a whip?!

Yep its all getting a bit dark out in Qatar. Hope this corruption investigation comes back with something meaningful, not holding my breath tho.

That headers video is incredible, I've watched it about 10 times  :great:

More interesting stuff on the Groniad

I remember being so excited I was literally vibrating leading up to the Eng v Ger Italia 90 semi. Just doesn't feel like that's ever going to happen again...

Although not a supporter I hope Arsenel do the business in Europe this year. They looked tasty the other night.

Good stuff. Sometimes it seems that Davin Conn is ploughing a lone furrow regarding all this shit.

On a lighter note, I know it wont last but isn't it bloody great to read stuff like this:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/five-statistical-reasons-why-manchester-united-will-not-win-the-premier-league-this-season-8849099.html

This:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/10348290/Manchester-United-are-in-danger-of-doing-a-Tiger-Woods.html

This:

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/oct/03/david-moyes-manchester-united-ryan-giggs

Etc etc etc. And Scum fans all over the internet arguing about why they're so shit and if the manager should be sacked or not. Love it!

Can't say I'm mad about reading all that as they're my team! At least it feels like things have come full circle, I remember mid table mediocrity and getting stuffed by liverpool every season in the late eighties. I've had my fill of the good times that's for sure. I hope they just give David Moyes a bit of time instead of going all Chelsea

Maybe I'm just getting old but, THIS!

I'll probably still watch it though and unlike when McLaren was in charge I do actually want us to qualify, but it's not the same....
