Lucky escape for City last night.  Quite why Mancini persists in a 3-5-2 is mystery as we keep getting ripped on the counter and our defence is getting caught short every time.  Swapping De Jong for Jack Rodwell is clearly a mistake and I suspect the latter will be benched and then sold in January unless we start playing 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 in these games.  That said, BD were very, very good and I'm struggling to think of a better side we've played at home.  Thank f*ck for Joe Hart.

I still think Joe Hart is Citys best player.

Guess that makes it improbable and implausible that he'll play international football again  ;D

The national team is almost bearable again.

HERE COME THE LEEDS SAVIOURS!!!!!

http://uk.mobile.reuters.com/article/idUKBRE89F0GX20121016?irpc=932

Ah.....

Quote
Dubai-based GFH Capital is in exclusive talks to buy Leeds, which it estimates has a market value of around 52 million pounds. But GFH group had more than a quarter of a billion dollars of accumulated losses and less than $6 million in cash at the end of June.

An internal Gulf Finance House (GFH) project assessment document of 2010 seen by Reuters and verified by four former insiders showed that by September 2009, GFH and Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH), run by GFH founder Esam Janahi's brother Rashad, had jointly raised $1.1 billion from investors to build an economic development zone in Mumbai.

But more than half was extracted in fees and commissions
to GFH, ADIH and others before work was even begun, against the 1 or 2 percent management fee typically paid to fund managers, who might then charge a 20 percent performance fee on profits returned to investors. The same pattern is seen in at least five other projects, further 2010 project assessment documents show.

After losing more than a billion dollars over 2009 and 2010, the group reported a profit of just $381,000 in 2011 - less than a month's pay for a top English Premier League player - after slashing staff costs and cancelling staff bonuses already accounted for in previous financial statements.

It's probably just another one of Ken Bates' offshore companies. Problem is Leeds doesn't really have any assets after Captain Birdseye and before him previous mismanagement sold them all off. Don't know if they need to complete a fit and proper person's test for Championship and with it being a company and not an individual.

To think - I didn't use to like Roy Keane as a pundit.

I'm coming round to a different point of view.

Serbia. WHAT THE FUCK?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/9613095/England-U21s-subjected-to-racist-abuse-and-physical-attacks-after-beating-Serbia.html

OK so they've already been warned about this shit, now what Platini? A poxy fine and a slapped wrist probably. Anything less than a 12 month ban from all European competition will signal just how pathetic and toothless UEFA really are and how, despite their protestations, they don't give a fuck about racism.

There won't be any form of ban, wouldn't surprise me if England were sanctioned too. I think it might be hard for the FA to push for more than a 4 match ban for Serbia after the 4 match ban for former england captain terry from the FAs own disciplinary board
There should be a 12 month ban for all Serbian sides and then a year of home games behind closed doors. there is no chance of anything other than a small fine. If the punishment is again a joke, I would support the English team pulling out of the competition (including the full national side) this would hit FIFA in the pocket from a vastly reduced tv revenue and  lost revenue without the english away support. It would be even more effective if the British media boycotted it as well.

Rember Bendtner got fined (80,000)  for wearing sponsored boxers, whilst Porto got 15,000 for racism last year!!

However we can hardly complain about crap UEFA/FIFA sanctions when JT only gets 4 matches for calling someone a black c**t, after a year of deliberation.

If someone said that where I worked they would be quite rightly fucking sacked.

All the rest of the football crap aside that's been happening:

Mikel Suarez:

Tonbridge Angels' Mikel Suarez remains in intensive care after sustaining a serious head injury during Saturday's game at Farnborough.

The striker clashed heads with team-mate Lee Browning during the second-half of the 4-1 defeat. He initially walked off the field of play, but was taken to hospital and has remained under observation since.

fair play to Jason Roberts.
He has come out and said its a joke. He could not blast the FA or he would end up with fine and bans etc. So he is showing his disgust a different way.

Why the hell should this be down to individual players to make their stand and walk off, it should come from higher.

What should happen if this ever happens again is the manager should come out and wave all his players off the pitch... If the FA had any sort of spine (ha!) they would instruct thus and make this clear..
