Fantastic Sabotage Times piece on the greatest thing a Man United player ever did:

http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/eric-cantona-the-kung-fu-kick-that-made-manchester-uniteds-rebel-a-king/

Including this brilliant quote from Richard Williams IoS article....

Quote
“You didn’t have to look very long and hard at Mr Matthew Simmons of Thornton Heath to conclude that Eric Cantona’s only mistake was to stop hitting him… The more we discovered about Mr Simmons, the more Cantona’s assault looked like the instinctive expression of a flawless moral judgement.”

Any thoughts on whether or not he's guilty at this stage J?

I suspect HMRC dont bring cases to court unless they have a very strong case,....

I can't wait to see what his defence is. I think it's obvious that he's guilty as sin.

It's not ideal, but nowhere near as bad as being sent it via gun. IMO.

Was going to go to the Emirates today but a dose of "Man Plague" got in the way
Anyways couldn't get to a radio for the first half - turned on just as the second was kicking off
When the score was announced Mrs T piped up "bet you're glad you didn't go now!"
7 silverwareless years and little faith in the backbone of the team lead me to reply "yes, yes I am"
and then.... faith is restored (for now) and I wish I had gone, plague or no plague

Still I do wonder what will happen when Real come calling looking for a new manager come the summer....

on another note - Jasper - you on-line trying to get tickets????
what a treat for the seagulls!

Tickets for big games are dished out according to a points (loyalty) scheme so as a Sheffield based Brighton supporter I would have no chance. To be fair I could probably get a ticket through family down South but the fifth round is also the weekend we get back from Tenerife so I'd probably miss it anyway.....

The Newcastle game can't have been very enjoyable from a neutral's point of view but we played pretty well. Aside from Leon Best missing two good chances we restricted them really well, hit them on the counter attack and deserved at least a draw. Buckley's goal had a big slice of luck in the deflection but he was probably the best player on the pitch so again, it was deserved and instead of it being backs to the wall after that Newcastle never really looked like equalising.

A great night for all Brighton fans.......... and Graeme.  ;D

so deadline day: a day where sky sports get traditionally over excited about a crap player going for triple his value?

I saw on on SSN this morning west brom finally agreed a fee for ridgewell but only £2m is that what they have been holding out for all window, really?

Looks like we are holding onto Rhodes unless we get a stupid offer really late on tonight.

Tevez will he go or will he sit and devalue further wasting his talent. Clearly Man city dont need him being top of the league

Think the initial offer had only been £1m. We need him gone now, he's made it clear he wants away and hasn't been performing, gone from first choice LB/CH in a PL side to 2nd & 4th choices in a Championship side. If Stuart Parnaby is still without a club and would forgive being let go then being messed around over resigning he'd be an adaquate and cheap ready-made replacement.

Looks like we are holding onto Rhodes unless we get a stupid offer really late on tonight.

We were linked with Jordan Rhodes last night, but we were also linked with Michael Owen so don't panic.

Liverpool just can't shake this racism thing.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16798167.stm
"The club have reiterated their stance that anyone, excluding players, found guilty of committing an offence will be banned for life."
Fixed that quote for them.

so ended up being a busy day for Huddersfield, Also proof that Jordan Rhodes was not for sale.
Ian does not look like you need jordan rhodes that lad zigic had a good night against L**ds

We sold McDermott to Bornmouth after just 5 months and made a profit on him apparently not bad for a play who has not really done much.
We also sign a couple of player from falkirk. Lee Clark seems to like his Jocks

Zaha duly went over for a penalty, it looked like a dive from where I was peering through the cables and falling masonry of the Arthur Waite.

Fucking hell Grayson's been sacked. Watch Twitter go into meltdown......

I bet Ken Bates just does all this for fun.
