I'm actually clinging on to 4th by 3 points after yesterday.

Now they've recalculated some bonus points I'm back down to 5th! Come on City.........

You are indeed.

So Gary Cahill has finally joined Chelsea and because he could have gone on a free at the end of the season, Bolton have only got £7m for him. Having read a fair bit about the dodgy dealings of Gartside and his pals this is unsurprising, however it could also have big consequences.

Bolton are in the shit financially and now they have lost their best player for peanuts. With no money to replace him, nobody would bet against them going down and if they do, they could well be fucked such is their perilous position money wise.

It's nice to scrape back ahead of Ben again if only briefly as next weekends fixtures don't look too promising  :boxing:

I'll probably forget to look at things too much whilst in Oz for a month, so fully expect to come back a couple of spots lower down!

Leeds Utd = feeder club for Norwich City
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16610340.stm

arse... Jonny Howson gone.  By my reckoning that's Bradley Johnson, Fabian Delph, Jermaine Beckford, Max Gradel and Neil Kilkenny all gone with no signficant reinvestment in players.  Just loanees and the odd discarded pensioner.

The only money Bates is willing to divert from his Carribean shell coroporations has been spent on corporate hotel facilities..... for a half-empty stadium.... that we don't own.  Aidy White's now refusing to resign and I'd be surprised if we can keep Robert Snodgrass for much longer.

What you make of this Jas?

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11741/7442966/Brighton-players-bailed

I reckon it's bollocks, based on the fact that Brighton players would never socialise with anyone from Bournemouth :)

The Bournemouth player is Steve Cook who played for us at the time.

I don't know but I'll go for innocent until proven guilty for now as one should.

Not sure if this is helpful from The Argus but at least it stops any further speculation as to who is involved!

In the end, this is about opinions, of course it is. You cannot order someone not to be British just as you cannot demand players forsake everything just to protect Scotland's independent football state.
I don't see how this will effect it.

The tornament is a one off and if FIFA tried to turn the home nations to one team I think england would complain as much if not more than anyone else?

If I was Scottish I'd be much more concerned about the disastrous state of the domestic game than this load of bollocks.

Alongside the former USA international Eric Wynalda, Piers Morganon will be in the studio to give his particular insights into proceedings at the Emirates Stadium.

Those poor Americans.  :'(

Tommy Elphick cleared already:

http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9484560.Brighton_player_Elphick_ruled_out_of_police_inquiry/

Wonder if The Argus will print that on the front page tomorrow with his name in capital letters?  :-\

The London Olympics and its attempt to hi-jack all sporting life of this island nation has the Scottish Football Association hierarchy nervously pacing the room.

I agree with him

Good to see everyone's favourite tax-evader has finally got his day (2 weeks) in court.

In other news, Blackburn slip back into the releagtion zone after a well won point at Everton.  :(

Bad stuff - you shouldn't have Formica on the bottom of a table (sorry).
