Spot on that.

A sad day for Newcastle fans as the fat idiot Ashley decides that the team is doing far too well and he needs to create some negative publicity by renaming the stadium.

To cheer them up, here's Tino Asprilla scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona:

THIS >>>>> http://footballtack.blogspot.com/2011/11/fifa-in-right-for-once.html

Exactly so, this is completely media created storm over nothing. I hate the way somethings are considered sacrosanct so not open to rational debate. It's for charity, its for kids, etc etc. I also hate the way so many people now jump on the band wagon of charities to make themselves look good without actualy being prepared to put themselves out in any way, i.e. stump up some cash. q.v. people re-Tweeting about appeals etc, people in Hati can't buy food with internet platitudes you twats, put your hands in your pockets don't just join a Facebook group!

Quite, especially when these are people who earn more in a week than I do in a year. Pay up or shut the fuck up.

It was quite funny seeing the pathetic Ed Milliband attemp to jump on the bandwagon which was already groaning under the weight of David Cameron, Prince William, the gutter press, most of the FA and those charming chaps from the EDL.

Too late Ed!! It's already hurtling down the hill to Shitsville, you'll never catch it!!!

That's funny.

Regarding the dilemma as to what they should do about the result, surely they have to give the points to the team who had just equalised? Otherwise it sets a precedent that you could get a game abandoned (and get a point) if you were under the cosh and hanging on for a draw. If you only needed a point to win the league / stay up etc then it could be really important.

N.B. This question isn't for you slackers as I know you don't give a shit about football!

Damn I thought that was a pretty good attempt to start trolling about the logic of football.   :ninja:

Yes, nothing more you need to say really......

Anyway.

Re Blatter, his official apology / excuse on the fifa website is beyond parody: accompanied by a photo of him grinning uncomfortably whilst hugging a black man:

http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/organisation/president/news/newsid=1544067/index.html

Anyone else instantly reminded of the Father Ted episode where, to prove he's not racist, Ted does a slide presentation that shows him "getting-on great" with ethnic minorities.  Accompanied by musings on how much he liked Mr Miyagi in the Karate Kid and how Cato was the real star of the Pink Panther films.
