And that's that. If you want my final choice of record, then you'll have to go and talk to Mike Phelan.

The one I heard was:

Wayne Rooney says he is gutted about being sent off in the 32nd minute in England's game tonight.

I'd rather watch my dad plough my mum than endure watching a second half like that again. Frank Lampard? Wank lampshade more like. Utter shite of the highest order.

I successfully managed to miss the football last night due to my session at the wall and my pub crawl. Until around 11 pm when the pub I was in was playing a replay

hope less nice to see a pitch invasion at an international though. I successfuly won a tenner though I bet a mate that England won't make the final banker!!

 :wank:England  :wank:

Anyway back to the proper stuff today home to stevenage

Tevez is a fucking dick.

More Leeds United badness (with a rather misleading title):

UKB poll. Is Joey Barton a knob.

On balance I think he still is. He seems to have his head screwed on better these days, but whenever I think of him I still have the image of him astride that poor lad outside a McDonalds in Liverpool wacking the shit out of him with l&r haymaker combo's. I probably wouldnt offer him a cigar either...

also west ham may not get the olympic stadium http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15251893
I am still interested how fifa/Fa can ignore their own rules with regards to allowing the move As leyton orient keep poniting out.

Indeed and quite aside from West Ham ignoring the fact that the stadium is totally unsuitable for football.

Indeed, as this image shows... Spurs idea to knock it down and rebuild made most sense to me..

I have to make a shocking confession here and state that I've never seen a match at The Boleyn, so can't really comment on whether I'd support a move in terms of atmosphere etc...that said Upton Park has always been a shining palace of intrigue in my head (you've got to remember I grew up in rural East Anglia...) from my early days as a Hammers fan so not sure if I want to break the illusion by actually going there!

I strongly suspect that the motivation for getting the stadium was financial, so on those grounds if it was a way our of the hole we're in at the moment, it's a shame we're not going there.

That said, looking at the picture it looks like a terrible set-up to actually watch football so I guess not a great loss.

On the other hand, I'm off to watch my other team playing this weekend in a real crucible of top-class football. Whitby Town FC against the mighty Blyth Spartans in FA Cup 2nd Round on Sat!

What's most interesting about that is the way it all took place in their own 2/3rds. Presumably scotland pressed up higher and higher until they were open enough for Spain to strike.
