I take it we are abandoning decades of tradition this evening, and are going to do the unthinkable and support Manyew?

Well Ipswich vs Hull resulted in a draw as I thought it would - sounded like a good game with Ipswich being the better side in the first half with Hull getting back into it a bit more in the second and getting the equaliser with only their second shot on target.

Feel a bit gutted that we didn't win it really but at least the unbeaten run continues.

Yup - sounded like Ipswich should have won it.. but we seem to be a bit more tenacious and persistent nowadays.. At least most of the top boys drew/took points off each other..

After watching the arse against Barca on Wednesday I wanted to see more of Xavi et al so watched them (Barca) against Athletico Bilbao tonight.
I know it's not always a goalfest but it's so so good to watch the best players in the world play sublime football. Anyone else catch it ?

I saw it, wonder if they get the EPL in Spain and what they make of Stoke?

Story about Mourinho's incredible 9 year unbeaten run at home:

Definitely
I had the same thought (not specifically about Stoke, but they're probably the best example) What on earth would 90,000 punters at the Nou Camp make of Stoke vs Wolves on a wet Tuesday night in February

Barca's next five away games are:

Mallorca
Valencia
Sevilla
Villareal
Real Madrid

Tasty!

Andy Gray came out with some crap about Barcelona not fancying playing "Stoke away on a wet Wendesday" didn't he. As if they have neither "physical" teams nor bad weather in Spain. Knob.

Saying that they wouldn't want to WATCH Stoke is much more accurate.

Plymouth have accepted the inevitable and gone into administration. Hope they can survive but it doesn't look good. The ten point deduction will put them bottom and almost certainly mean relegation too. We play them tomorrow which I can't help thinking is bad timing......

Just settling down to watch the Lyon/Real Madrid match on Chanel+
Build up was a little glitchy but at least the natter/chatter was better than itv (or maybe it wasn't but my French is awful).
Whistle goes, kick off and.... channel scrambles - pay tv....  :furious:

If you run a pub and are having to pay £1000+ a month yeah. Otherwise the cost of the kit / foreign subscription may well be more than you'd have to pay for Sky anyway. As those articles say, there's a long way to go with this and nothing is cut and dry.

It's a start though, be interesting to see which way it goes. I just hope it doesn't mean that we get a situation where clubs can negotiate their own tv rights as that would only increase the divide between the top few and the rest and would also massively reduce the number of games that the average fan would have access too. I'm not sure but I think this is what they did in Italy a while back and the model basically failed.

I guess it depends what subscription you have and how many individual games are pay-per-view and their respective costs, if monthly thats < £118 through Sky then you'd be saving cash.

At the risk of sounding like a complete fukcwit, I think Spanish teams can negotiate their own TV rights withe the consequqnce that they have a big2, rather than our 4ish
