May as well ban boots and make everyone play in carpet slippers while they're about it.

Quote
On the subject of fashion, Fifa also wants to make sure that if a player wears tights then they are the same colour as their shorts

Thought this was already the law.  I remember early 90s simon sturridge trying to come on as a sub for Blues, he was wearing black lycra shorts under his white kit shorts and wasn't allowed on til he'd changed.  Couldn't see what all the fuss was about from the other side of the pitch until he emerged from the tunnel in the white ones.  Pretty fly.

Megson appointed

BBC Sport - Football - Gary Megson appointed Sheffield Wednesday manager

Good manager for the circumstances, worked wonders at West Brom.

I think most Wednesday fans will be happy with that - hopefully we'll win 4 - 0 tomorrow then  :)

huddersfield win 4-1 somewhere near the Normandy. :bounce:
We scored when our super new signing Danny Cadamarteri (feel free to laugh) came on and score one then set up another.

Also Bournemouth drew so we are 1 point behind them with a game in hand.

Now all we need to do is beat carlisle by 5 goals on tuesday and we are off to wembley  :-\ Well they lost to the bottom of the league today and we beat them 2 - 0 mid week. COME ON TOWN.

Pah!! How many players were sent off for Scunthorpe? Sheff Utd. had a two sent off in two minutes (88th and 89th minute from memory).  ;)

Nice that Torres kept to his word and didn't celebrate scoring against Liverpool.

I have only just recovered from the incandescent, seething, spleen venting rage that I was suffering from last night after Wenger's post match interview on MoTD. Having been manager of Arsenal for something like 10 years you really don't expect me to believe that you have a complete and utter inabiilty to see any (and I mean any) of the fouls committed by one of your players that result in a red card being awarded in all that time.

FUCK OFF YOU TWAT!!

and relax...

This is out of date as (of course) Grant didn't get sacked but it's still absolutely spot on and exactly how I've always felt about his abilities as a manager:

http://iainmacintosh.wordpress.com/2011/01/17/dont-cry-for-avram/

I know there's a long way to go and the PL is really really close but will there really be three teams bad enough to prevent West Ham going down? They certainly looked pretty shite yesterday from what I saw.

We had no right to win that game yesterday, we were so poor anybody else would have thrashed us.  Even Wednesday will be encouraged.

Grant's plan B - Carlton Cole
and ehwn that didn't work
Plan C - Ba, aka Carlto Clone.

Perhaps he manages these shit teams so he can justify going to "massage parlours" to the wife, 'sorry love, awful day, just need to work out some tension before coming home'

Seem the fantsy football is becoming interesting.
Only a few points seperate the top three. Then the battle between the next 9 could go any way.
Loving it. Especially as i signed the racist twat Barton for a paltry £4.8 million and he nets me 15 points.
Bring it on especially as united lose and city win, oh ho you got me singing the blues. Etc.
