What do you reckon to this?

He maintains that he's grown up and sorted out his attitude problems. I'll believe it when I see him last longer than half a season without falling out with everyone at the club and being sent to Crawley Town on loan.

Mark Cooper's apparently on record of having said words to the effect of, "I don't care what his attitude is like as long as he scores goals".

Most fans would go along with that, I think. (And should be able to DaJaOL)

Have made wholesale changes to my FF team as it's only Malouda who's prevented me dropping into the relegation zone. Injuries have been a fucker so far.

When do they update the thing? (I didnt pay much attention last year - you may have noticed!)

they tally the points, make automatic subs, etc after the lst match of the gameweek.  It's happened for this week already, often won't be until after the Monday night game if there is one.

My top tip for making subs is not to do them until Friday so you don't bring in a player who subsequently gets crocked, especially when there's European games being played.

I try and do mine Saturday morning at the last minute (though I sometimes forget). That said, my team selection and performance this year has been woeful after finishing 3rd last year.  :(

What do you neutrals think of this coming weekend's clash between City and Chelsea?  In spite of City rapidly taking Chelsea's crown as most-disliked-club in the league, I'm  assuming that all the Manure, Arsenal and Liverpool fans are going to be wanting us to take three points to put a stop to the runaway train.

I'd like to see City take some points off them for sure. What's it got to do with Liverpool though?

To be honest I think city will lose to chelsea.
Chelseas too good at the minute and city are not a top 2 team yet.

Got to agree with Jasper. I cant see liverpool being a top four team this season.

The FA were very kind to Chelsea giving them five warm up games against relegation candidates to start the season, now they have three tricky ties so we'll discover whether it's a competition or not this year.

City have already dropped points when they perhaps shouldn't have but if they can get up for the game like they obviously were aginst Liverpool maybe they can get something, certainly hope so, it could be a long dull season otherwise.

Likewise.

We've improved a bit since you thumped us 7-1 around a year ago. Think only two of the starting lineup from that game are still at the club!

BOOM!!

While The Scum and Liverpool drown in debt and Man City and Chelsea pray that the benefactors don't pull the plug, Arsenal pay off all their property debt and post £56m pre tax profits. How to run a football club.

That was a really good day for me but probaly not so much for you.
The wycombe game on sky a couple of weeks later was better. We were compared to arsenal by the comemtators for our ability to pass the ball. Which after about 10 years of long ball football was a great improvement.

Your improvement showed under Gus. You stayed up and you get a well thought draw at your place in the return fixture.
It will be interesting to see where the two teams are for the match december 11th.

I was at COMS last year when City beat Chelsea but today was a better win.  Mrs FD was at the game today and I had 909 on driving over to Stanage with Galpinos. Nil-nil at half time but evenly matched when we wandered up to the crag.

We'd topped out on a route above the Plantation and were coiling ropes when I heard Brian Hall yelling my name from the boulders. "One-Nil" he shouts... "To City?" ... "Yes"... "fucking get in!"

Just watched the game on Sky+. Brilliant City.

We scored in the 6th minute of injury time to beat Oldham 2-1 and go top of the league.

Palace lost 5-0.

I love football.

Looks like wednesdays protest upset Howard Wilkinson http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_wed/9037232.stm

Quote
If Nick and I walk away, and both of us have got a lot of reasons to walk away, the club would be in receivership next week," said Wilkinson.

"That is the end of the road if that happens, or the beginning of the end."

It could get interesting in Sheff tonight with them facing a tough game against oldham who only just lost on Saturday in injury time to the league leaders.  ;)
I think their will be a protest pre match then maybe worse if they lose.

We (hudds) are away at rochdale its sold out in our end taking 3,200 across (with a few more going in the wrong end in disguise).
Should be a good atmosphere as it is pratcially a derby and also it being Yorkshire v Lancashire. There was only 3294 in total at their home game against Plymouth on saturday. Good chance of the smight be as many of us as there is them. That will be a laugh.

Brighton at home to Brentford Should be 3 points in the bag for the seagull?

Why if Simon Davey is that keen to manage a Conference team did he not just stay at Darlington?

I know how you feel, happened to us years back, 4-1 up against Glen Hoddle's Swindon at HT, ended up grabbing a last minute consolation to lose 5-6.  Still one of my most memorable matches.

Re Wednesday....... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=828421&sec=england&cc=5739

Seems they're just delaying the inevitable and may as well take the ten point hit now so they know where they stand (battling relegation for the rest of the season).

Meanwhile (as it might not last long) we're 3 points clear at the top and for a change I'm quite optimistic about our trip to Tranmere on Saturday. Hopefully another 3 points (or at least a draw) will set it up nicely for the possible 1st v 2nd (Brighton Bournemouth) game live on Sky on the 9th.
