Worth noting that since the premier league started we've only had

Souness
Evans
Houllier
Benitez

If you need stats to pick Rafa out of those 4 you want your head checking.

Paisley will be turning in his grave.

I'm a bit concerned about our next manager. He may have to deal with a squad short of a Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano and no champions league football.

If we were to lose the above I hope the majority of the funds are going to be made available to the next manager otherwise we are going to be well and truly mid table next season.

I pray Sven gets nowhere near Anfield. Hodgson would probably be the best bet to stabilise things and motivate the players who remain.

We need at least a left back, centre back, left winger, right winger and 2 good forwards should we lose Torres.

Going to have to hope Kenny can persuade them to hang around for 1 more season.  :please:

The Glazers. It gets worse better:

You'll forgive me if I don't laugh at a football club which appears to be run in such a way as simply to be a vehicle to enrich its owners, at the expense of any pretence of running it as a sporting business.

Really?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/8729993.stm

Let's hope that cheating fouling German leaves the Premier League.  He's like Terry but not as good at cheating.

I'd have Joe Cole in my team though.

Wonder where Cole's going. That's a fucking bargain getting him on a free although presumably the wage deal will be ridiculous.

Still got to agree the CVA I think but yeah. I don't know who's involved in this CPFC 2010 consortium but I'm hoping they screw things up even more.

And you're openly proud of that?

"That'll do Knightly"

etc. etc. etc.

Hodgson to Liverpool - he's got his work cut out there.

That'll be Torres Towwes coming to City and Zamora Zamowa up front in red.

Thought he might get the England job  :(

Fulham are 7-1 for the drop (like Pompey were at this stage last year).  Their time in the limelight is past, with Hodgson gone, Fayed selling up and the better players no doubt on their way and unlikely to be replaced adequately they will struggle next year.   I'm having a bit of that.

We've managed to poach Nigel Pearson from Leicester to be our new manager.... a good move I think... and with half the premiership 'jewels' sold it looks like we're out of the financial shit hole we were in. Looking forward to champoinship football again and theres a positive feel amongst the supporters

City have gone and signed David Platt as a coach  :wall:  All he's done is slag City at every opportunity for the last two years, his record as a manager and coach is woeful.  WTF  :furious:

£220K a week?

What is the point in any other club trying to compete, they are best off just doing enough to stay in the prem and creaming off the £50 million guarunteed income from Sky. The whole idea of building year on year, youth development, heritige etc are rendered meaningless, the whole thing just become a cas eof who has the richest, most indulgent/stupidest owner.

Sorry, yes:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/7867884/Manchester-City-sign-Yaya-Toure-from-Barcelona.html

Although, in fairnes,  I can't find a reliable source that says he'll be on £220K a week but that's certainly the figure thats doing the rounds
