It's starting to heat up at the top of UKB FF league now! There seems to be a breakaway of a top 4 emerging from the pack and lucky for me, Spurs hotshot trio stopped the mighty Toomuchtooyeung from leapfrogging Woolton Wanderers into 1st for at least another week

Not sure when mind games are going to come into the equation but I'd love it, just love it if we can beat them all to the title  ;)

It'll be interesting now that Fabregas is crocked, the right replacement now could make all the difference.

Aye, I only went and used my free transfer last night like an idiot instead of waiting until Friday night incase of further injuries to more key players

It's tempting to Put Milner back in, he was rubbish for me early season and has been in top form ever since I took him out  ::) Same has just happened with Arse shavin too. Going to wait to see how long he is expected to be out then make a decision  :-\

Well I guess he's got plenty of  experience of dealing with tough/changing/mental bosses!

Just spend 3 days on a course with a Pompey fan... he's fully expecting doom, gloom and relegation - especially when the african cup of nations comes along...

Yup - quite different frmo when I last chatted to him a couple of years ago, during the 'arry Golden years (IIRC)... Looking very very tight at the bottom again this season.. Whilst I suspect they'll be safe I wouldnt bet against a last min nosedive from Stoke or maybe even Sunderland.... We'll be in the mix until the end of course! Our next league games are: Arsenal Away, Manu Home, CHelsea Home, Manu Away - and Wolves Home.... Come mid Jan I confidently predict we'll be in the bottom three unless someone else manages to do EVEN worse!

I had that a few years ago. Quite painful but it cleared up with a course of strong antibiotics.

I think Hughes was always on borrowed time.

Either he played in another decade too or the writer hadn't heard of him so he couldn't be nominated.

The fans are definitely divided on Hughes with two very vocal and opposing camps getting quite vitriolic with one another.  I'm still sat on the fence but that's probably worse than having an opinion.  There's no doubt we are lacking something and given the quality of players on the squad you have no choice but to question that tactics being deployed....

All down to a lack of leadership apparently, now he wants stronger personalities in the dressing room.  Thinks he's forgetting he bought the players.

I suppose the question is how many of them were actually 100% his choices. If they were then he's gotta carry the can and if they weren't then he never stood a chance anyway.

They were pretty shite against Spurs the other night.

Rumour has it that Roberto Mancini is in the stands at Eastlands today.. .talk about pressure for Hughes.  Two minutes to go and City are 4-3 up but listening to Key 103 has been fustrating. It could have easily been Sunderland in the same position.

Hughes just stayed on the pitch, shook hands with every player and then waved at the stands... last game?

Madness... he's only lost two games this season and we're sixth in the league - hardly a sackable performance.

They where talking about this on 909 and said that 2 wins in 11 looks a bit different. Still your right, MADNESS, anyone who can put up with Robinho and Adebayawn deserves a medal. I can't see what Mancini is gonna do, still Brian Kidd is a  great coach.

Good to see Portsmouth back to winning ways, though they where only playing a mid-table team. Maybe Hughes will be parachuted into Anfield, once they've sold Torres so they can afford to sack Benitez. Good times.

feed the scousers, let them know it's Christmas time... etc

liverpool miust be casting their eye about after todays result, losing to Aresnal is one thing, being outplayed by the bottom team is another.
