Now we all know that Keane has an axe to grind here but for once I agree with him on most of the points he makes.

I agree, while it was a dreadful decision by the officials any of the irish players would have done the same.  Whether it be diving, shirt pulling or handball it's cheating but it goes on, awful when it goes against you but when it goes your way you just shrug shoulders and take it.

Watching the game was rather like the Barca-Chelsea CL semi last year, the Republic squandered so  many chances you just had a feeling it was going to go gainst them in tthe end.

Unbefuckinglievable, now Ferguson only has to miss a trip to the bottom club and a Carling Cup tie, hardly worth it is it:

Hey - whats wrong with PB's 'sex beard' eh... EH!!!

:)  Sounds like it was a cracking game at the KC on Saturday (wasn't my turn to go...) with Sir J of Bullard pulling the strings again... Everton on Wednesday should be interesting....

Can't remember where I read it but the deal is that Liverpool only pay his wages until he finds another job, which you'd imagine wouldn't take long.  But I guess the FA thought that when they got rid of Sven....  Could be a good time to get rid, Madrid have only had one manager so far this season so they must be due a new one soon.

I wonder what pay-off, if any, Paul Hart has received from Portsmouth.  Probably just thankful to be out of that whole mess to be fair.

Hart seems a good bloke and has been very harshly treated. I would think he's well out of it as you say and will walk into another job when he wants one.

Saw a good match at the KC tonight  :) :) :) :) though the last 30 mins was squeaky bum time... we never seem to make life easy!
Scousers were dire though - no threat up front - we gave them both goals. I think they may be in deep shit - as their injured players are not due back until Jan...
 :boohoo:

Got a ticket for the Man City Hull game on sat... Robino's back apparently - no worries, Zayatte'll have him in his pocket (not..)

I think I shall have another beer and slip into blissful sleep  :)

CHeers Chris - Jasper, was Bullard in your FF team?? Altidore may have finally scored me a point (for an assist!)

Grant at Pompey will be interesting. At Chelski he inherited a strongly formed unit of excellent players. At Pompey he'll have a thinned out group of reserves with 7 loan signings... We'll see how good a manager he is now.. Poor old Paul Hart. I think he deserves some sort of award for the dignity with which he dealt with it all. Good man.
