Apparently the club shop's sold out of beach balls. Expect some to be making an appearance in the away end at Anfield this weekend...........

Missed out on the chance to close the gap at the top in FF as I left Zamora and Upson on the bench.
:furious:

Quote from: Rafa Benitez
"I don't know if the referee didn't know, maybe he couldn't see. Anyway, I think that is better to move on. I think the referees and Keith Hackett know that a mistake has been made but I do not want to criticise. He is a young referee and there are not too many referees around the world so if you have someone who has a passion and wants to be a good referee then the best thing to do is to just move on."

Are you paying attention at the back Ferguson?

Aye glad you left out Zamora and I chose to leave him in for 1 more week fancying he had to get some points eventually. He has had his good game now and won't see another for a few months, so he is out for Carlton Cole now who I fancy ato score gainst the gooners at home.

Wish I could fit Arshavin back in alongside Cesc now that he is back with a bang and guaranteed to haul in the points. Don't want to take another 4 point hit like last week for making 2 transfers though, so will have to hope for lots of points from the defence this week and maybe a rare Riera goal v the scum this weekend

Yeah I didn't think he was going to play and then he bags a goal and an assist!  :furious:

Decisions decisions.

Dignified, sensible and lucid, very unlike rafa.

Sounds like we've all head one of those weeks, I had two goalscorers on the bench but who'd have expected bowyer (or birmingham even) to score at Arsenal.  Luckily I spent 4 points to bring in Cesc who scored 16 as captain. :great:

Yet more woes for Liverpool, as the great Lee Anderson once said 'all this laughing is doing my core strength the world of good'

In your Liverpool slums etc..

Gerrard injured again........and the scum to play on Sunday. I bet Rafa woke up this morning with one of those "there's some reason I'm not particularly happy" feelings and then remembered. DOH!

I must admit I like the Spanish waiter but some most of his transfer/team selection/substitution decisions leave me baffled. Surely nothing less than three points v old redface will be necessary to save his job.

In your Liverpool slums etc..

Much as I despise The Scum one of the best songs I've heard is still the Park Ji Sung "eating rats" one from a couple of seasons ago.

Yet again Ipswich concede a last minute goal and drop points - by all accounts we played Watford off the bloody park last night and still only managed to get a point!  :'(

Yeah it's because he'd "lost the crowd" apparently.

in reality three home defeats in a row lost the crowd - says more about the fans than the manager?

I hadn't considered this. Same position the FA got England into with Sven.

I did wonder about that, it's cost Chelsea around £25m to get rid of managers recently.  The pay off for Rafa would wipe out the entire season's budget for the new guy.

Pennant has his say on Rafa here and appears to be enjoying life in Spain

If there is a budget to wipe out!

Sounds like Pennant's grown up a bit.

Not much movement up at the top but noticed the chasing pack have closed the gap a little to Jasper as I extended the lead by a massive 2 points over 2nd place

There are going to be some problems this week coming though as a few players come up against one another and I am racking my brain trying to think of what results would garner maximum points whilst derailing the challenges of the rest of the UKB teams  ;)

Tempted to change my captain to Van Persie from Fabregas but figured maybe keep it unchanged as to match Jasper and not allow him the chance to take a bumper chunk out of the lead if Fabregas plays a stormer  :-\

Good fun so far anyway  :)

It's all kicking off.

Hull are in the shit financially, Portsmouth owe other clubs so much money they're not allowed to sign any more players and Calum Davenport (who's just been told he will play again) has been charged with assault over the incident in which he was stabbed.

Rumour has it that the Hull chairman Paul Duffen is out, to be replaced by the old chairman/owner Adam Pearson, who until this afternoon was chairman of Derby, but left to pursue bigger things... (!?!?).

Phil Brown has (for today) NOT been given the sack, but if his best buddy (and provider of Daughter for sex) Paul Duffen has gone then it would seem Browns days are very much numbered. Mind you, the incumbant probable new chairman appointed Brown in the first place in 2007.

Got all that!?!?

but have a look at http://twitter.com/PBphilbrown for a very funny take on things... its been cracking me up all day  :)

From a supporters point of view this is all good news. We've been looking bereft of leadership both on and off the pitch since last Christmas. There was a bit of the old magic in the first game against Chelsea and for 15 min against Bolton... 7 different captains in 9 games this season. 4 wins in the last calendar year. That speaks for itself really. Bring on some one new - though I hope its not Curbs,,.... I want KEEGAN (ha hahahahahahahahahah  - laughing in a manic derranged cackling and sarcastic way...)

I have been to the place that you are now. Many times. And its not a nice place to be.

Chin up. It could be worse. It could be me being in that dark place. Again.  ;)

So Brown survives for now, players 1,000,000% behind him.  That sounds qiuite a long way behind.  Bad result at Burnley and he'll be gone do you think?  Replacement probably already being lined up maybe?
