Farcical.

He'll be over at Hull City quicker than you can say Dean Windass - to join our existing creaking leaden footed defence  :)

Looks like England are going to based in my hometown

Looks like I wasn't a one-man crimewave after all.

0:3 after 24 mins... We were woefull. I think Everton fielded a close to 1st team side and us a 1/2 a second string side but even so... By the 24th min, you (sorry, assumed you were an Everton fan) had 3 shots on goal. All on target. All scored. Our first shot on target was c.50 min I think... dreadful. People left en mass for an early half time pie and pint (well it was better than the football) after 30 mins...
The funniest bit about the game was the everton fans singing 'your getting mauled by the scousers'...

I actually had a good evening, went with an old mate I'd not seen for a while, had a couple of nice pints of landlord and just chatted through the game as it was so shit.... Ho hum...

Regarding Cambell, I dont think we need him - our defence isnt that bad, it just looks like no-one gives a shit. When we were promoted players dived in front of shots like they were trying to stop bullets - now they're just not so arsed. Brown for the chop. As teamtalk.com put it "tigers in the brown stuff"....

Now, wheres that bottle of scotch....

Third place Bristol Rovers away. Hmmm.

Our problem at the moment is injuries in the defence which have meant we've been had to play people out of position. The midfield and strikers are playing really well by all accounts but we keep leaking stupid goals.

Particularly, check out the winner as Tommy Elphick escorts their striker to the goal.......

Brighton 2-3 Southend

We just need some order in the back four (we have two decent left backs, both injured and our right back and player of the year last season is also crocked) and we'll do ok I reckon.

We could and should have won the Southend game and if we had we'd be 8th instead of 19th so I'm not panicking yet even if we get stuffed on Saturday. The signs are encouraging that the 15 or so new players we've brought in are starting to learn how to play together!

Well, I thought Sol Campbell joined Notts Country just for the dosh..  :greed:
But seeing as he's walked away from close to £10 million because he thought the talk of investment and change - was just that - talk and no action. So Sol, I take it back... you could have just sat there and pulled the pay cheque for the next five years...

Last night on channel 5 there was a program telling the story of the construction of the new stadium in Valencia. I think it was called Built from Disaster. It effectively explained how modern stadium design is influenced by historic disasters. There was some pretty awesome footage of a stadium in Frankfurt i think where the whole upper tier was flexing under the force of fans jumping in unison. Pretty scary!

I wish I'd been out climbing with Andy Jennings today.  That would have been an amusing scoreline to pass on to him as it progressed to the full six goals.

Sunderland 5 - 2 Wolves. Not the best game ever from the skill perspective but 6 goals in the 2nd half had me on the edge of my seat. 12 points from 7 games. I am a happy little Mackem  ;D

Change players, sorry I don't get it?

And is there a link to the league (if I'm not in last place it would be a miracle)

Quote
Coca-Cola will continue to focus on its other football tie-ups which include the World Cup, Wayne Rooney, Wembley Stadium and the Uefa European Championship.

Does this now mean that the ham sandwich lookalike is bigger business than the entire football league?

Can tell that's been done by a scum supporter. Tickled me at first but then too much Man U bias and cliche for me to find it funny.

Bastards.  :-*
