Impending doom... thats what I see on the horizon for HCAFC..

This transfer window is horrible - I've been sitting back watching us fail to sign anyone great (mcShanes OK, but the Ginga Ninja wont set the world alight).. Its the same old pattern... we agree a fee, they come have a medical, then fail to agree personal terms... Benjani's just told us where to go... time after time the same thing...

And worst of all, for a club hotly tipped for relegation we're selling our best player - the defender who's saved our bacon so many times - to one of our rivals.... GraemeA, I can almost see your smile from over here in Manchester

I think I may disappear for 24 hours, remove all potential for media contact and updates and live like a hermit until its all over.....

Bah.

Yup - and the lead footy writer for the local rag (which stirs things up) is one too...

Despair here too, as we're in the midst of a takeover we're unable to sign anybody - the current board won't spend their money and the incoming owner can't

so McLeish is reduced to scrapping around for loan deals. Four games played and there's an air of inevitablility about the season already.

Quite pleased to see that City didn't make any rash signings yesteday (drunk driver David Bentley for one) and we've actually offloaded a bunch of players. Sad to see Dunney leave as he's been such a stalwart and a servant to the club but he was one of the reasons our away performance was so poor last season.

It's sort of win win that one as it's always nice to see the Argie scum at the World Cup but it would also be hilarious if they failed to qualify.

Even more amusing would be if Portugal fail to get there (which is a major possibility).
