It was downgraded as soon as the other sequence was used, it's just that people refuse the downgrade

aside from Rivelin, where should a chap with a rare mid-week day off go today?
Seems a bit dull and damp out there, I'd try Anston or the ever reliable Broomgrove

Old sequence get mono drag thing with right, go left to tiny crimp. New, get mono drag thing with left, go right to good sidepull.

Barrows got it in before the mono and kept it in til the jug. Soft, second go. 3 days working the moves.

Anywhere likely to be not wet tomorrow? Looks misty which suggests not...

Bbg S was warm and damp. Hard work looking for dry things that were sensible to climb. Bailed. More exposed places probably fared better - but there's still lots of wetness/seepyness about.

We headed to Burbage North on Sunday just in case. It was absolutely gopping, water was dripping off Boyager and none of the faces were even close to drying, despite directly facing the wind. Might take a while for them to dry.

Went to Stanage end Sunday
Everything gopping, I've never seen anything like it, heavy cool wind and dry for around 6 hours, yet still totally soaking

On a side note, beauty looks incredible

Anyone care to hazard a guess how Burbage north will be this morning? Did it rain over night that way on?

was very dank last night, frost this morning and now  sunny and cold in Stoney now with  some wind. Give it a while for the sun and wind to do it stuff  and I rekon it will be mint.

Light frost on the ground in Sheffield but clear blue sky and a breeze from the SW at the minute. I'd be surprised if it wasn't dry most places without tree cover before lunchtime.

It is beautiful but baltic up there with the windchill. Burbage West looked like the best bet.

It was hard work. Showers came in about 2...

Anyone think burbage south will be dry? Its the only local eastern grit crag that should be out of this wind

It's a Westerly so surely Burbage South will be full in the wind?  The edge won't see the sun all day either so probably quite a grim place to be.  And probably not likely to be that dry.

West will be sheltered and is generally a quick drying option, only needs a drive-by to check it out.

The edge was most decidedly not dry on Monday... (South). As Nai said it may be sheltered by that'll mean it's more likely to be gopping still.

went for a stroll round Higgar yesterday - the base of the main face (under The Rasp) was both sheltered and had plenty of dry bits

Higgar East was glowing green and was damp
