Climbed all day in the end! Stanage held the mist all day but still dried out

It was clean at the start of winter. The crack might have some fresh debris in it, but with recent dryness it should clean out quite easily

It's drizzling in Manchester and the outside webcam is looking foreboding. I was off to Stanage for some routes after work, please tell me all is not lost!

Overcast in Sheffield at the moment, but still dry ATM and the BBC isn't forecasting any rain in Hathersage this evening.

Hmmm, BBC says no rain in Cheadle Heath but looking out of the window I'd beg to differ. Met office rain radar says no rain too......

The outside webcam always looks grey, it's ancient.

BMC Peak area afterwards, free chips remember.

It was dry at Burbage, but I could see showers about. Quite cool too, kept a fleece on.

Should have headed up, I had a lovely evening at Popular End last night.  The rain clouds stayed on the other side of the valley then lifted a little as the sun set.

I enjoyed the running so all was not lost, even if I did get beaten my quite a few guys over 60.  It was actually pretty muggy over this side. The on the spot weather report from Outside when we had to make the call (i.e. early on as we were coming form Manc) was that it was drizzling so I didn't want to waste my childcare free evening!

Glad you guys had a good one. My next window of opportunity is Saturday morning which is looking a bit better....

Was at burbage last night, zero wind, overcast, damp underfoot, but strangely no midges.

Similar reports to Dave. Higgar was dry, mild and no midgies :)
