At Burbage now. Only west side story and Western eyes dry at West. North looks dry but the wind is so strong and cold that you'd have to be nuts to climb there. Significant amount of snow in the peak that is slowly melting and getting all wet.

Master Kush and Purple Haze dry at Rivelin. Support crew with more pads required!

Going to be in the Peak this weekend. Anyone got any tips on good places to try bearing the forecast in mind? Its a bit changeable at mo. Was thinking Rivelin if its dry and very cold. Any local tips would be welcome. I used to climb mainly north of Leeds so not as au fait with Peak ins and outs.
Cheers

Snow showers forecast (one just went over here in Manc) so I'd bring a yardbrush... Suspect as weathers coming from NW places like BBG West would be a good bet...

Im not really up on connies round these parts. Will anywhere be climbable tomorrow? Fancy some routes at burbage south, but guessing this will probably be wet? Up for bouldering if its going to be more fun. Have no wheels, so getting between crags will be time consuming.....
any advice?

No idea about conditions, not out this weekend.

Burbage South-North-Stanage is basically one discontinuous edge with a spur off for Burbage West and Higgar, car not  really needed.

It's currently snowing where I am in sheffield - you'll need somewhere quick drying

Just a bit damp here, a bit further south in Sheffield, though I daresay that translates as a light dusting of snow out in the Peak. Looks like a nice day though tomorrow so I think all the usual suspects will be OK by late morning tomorrow, Stanage  & Burbage N if not too windy, Froggat, Curbar, Baslow, Birchen. Robin Hoods Stride / Cratcliffe is usually a safe bet, always bits that stay dry, are shadier or sunnier, in/out of the wind etc
Burbage S will be cold/green/damp

Stanage dodged the snow bullet all day but it was settling at dusk. Been snowing on and off since.

What are the chances of secret garden being dry? I'm being hopeful but think I already know the answer.  :coffee:

Snowed last night in hope valley,  snow down to valley bottoms but not a lot.  Damn cold with sun just coming up now. Reckon melt off will be a problem later.

Looks nice! Secret garden is probably a no no - gets lots of runoff from above. Can be ok if it's been sub zero for a few days and frozen hard but at the moment... Hmm...

A limited selection doable at Burbage N & W. Breakfast dry except the top, WSS looked fine. Remergence and Bananafinger areas OK as well. Rest looked pretty log.

Cheers Guy, thought it might be. Although I'm gutted things I want to do are soaked, the Peak does look beautiful in the snow.
