Anyone know what the eastern edges are looking like this morning?  Just got a morning slot and wondering whether it'll be too damp/frozen. Ta

Pavements are definitely icy, as I just discovered rushing out with the blue bin as the lorry approached.

Walls in shade are damp and/or icy but those that catch the sun are dry, would have thought any rock catching the sun will be fine although breaks may be damp in the back, etc.  Looks glorious out over the Peak.

Nice at plantation. Stuff in the shade a bit damp in places, but drying out with the sun. Cold.

Precisely. Nothing to see here. No mint conditions at all. Move along nicely now...

How likely is it that Rivelin will be dry tomorrow? Specifically Master Kush if that helps. I've never been before but heard it's a good venue in bad weather. I've had abuse before for asking questions like this as I'm now a 'local' but the alternative is driving south to the Roaches area or something so any time saving tips would be greatly appreciated!

Swirl be wet. It's heavy gales and lots of rain out there, even rivelin won't survive that. Can't think of anything roaches way that'll be ok either.
If you're lucky and it stops raining, then stuff in the wind will dry at open crags but the climbing will be pretty grim.
I'm a big believer in trying to get out on rock  as much as possible but it's defo more of an indoor day tomorrow :)

If only there was some kind of national agency responsible for meteorological forecasting, accessible online.

Ah but just because it's raining doesn't necessarily mean everywhere will be wet Cofe! Just trying to get some expert opinions.

When I checked the weather earlier Leek area had a better forecast but never got a chance to check Web cams before dark.

Exactly, Earl Crag is usually a safe bet when it's raining.

The discrepancy between the gale outside / bbc vs met check is more than normal.. That's for sure...

Ill see what tomorow brings... Minus ten seems alluring.. Never thought I'd say that again!

Ben's Wall / Great White area might be worth a shot in the gales - might be sheltered enough at ground level for the pads to stay put

Probably not one that'll keep your perm topped up Tom!

Thanks for the suggestions people, there's hope at least.

I took a chance on Blackfoot being dry this afternoon, which it was. Stayed dry even between the old hail shower.

For future reference it seems to be that rare thing of quick drying but reasonably sheltered.

Haha, what were the chances of Tom making a crack about me and barbers the evening before I'd planned to have my hair cut!
