James Squire from Bristol did Western Eyes yesterday so that's obviously in, but guess that was known anyway.

Plenty of traffic getting along Ringinglow, although I'd probably describe it as passable rather than fine.

Shovelled some snow into the gap below Western Eyes but the top is still covered in snow / ice so you'd need some pretty heroic topping out skills.

WSS probably the only problem which was dry enough to top out.

There's some ascents logged on UKC for yesterday, one of which says no topout due to ice (no idea if by extension we can take that as applying to them all?). That was pretty much the case today, dry on the nose itself, but as you go right the break got snowy/wet and the top by that crack was wet/snowy, and the break where it ledges out right was snow with ice underneath. I did it and jumped off from the top break onto a thankfully deep stack of pads.

Went on WSS afterwards and it felt odly slippy.

Does western eyes finish at the break? How could these people have logged it yesterday if it couldn't be climbed?

Went to plantation today, quite a lot to go at but lots of run off. Friend made a small platform under white wand and theres a reasonable one under big air also. We had snow chains from popular end to plantation but there were others there without. Such great conditions, felt like cheating.

FWIW, the whole of Hamper's Hang traverse was dry a couple of days ago. Then again, it usually is. Some stuff round right too. Something extra to add into the mix.

Views were stunning too!

Plenty of pooh from the sheep, who have the place booked till Spring :)

Any tips for tomorrow? More interested in approaches as I have a top heavy, rear wheel drive van that's automatic.  :great:

Anyone been past the crags today to see if this rain and warm temps has stripped all the snow away? Tomorrow forecast windy and sunny.

As above, I'm working most of the weekend, but a late afters / dusk sesh at the plantation would be rather special. Very keen to hear about the run off onto the green traverse in particular..... Cheers.

Think green trav should be fine as it wasn't getting any run off on Tuesday. Be interested to hear the general state of grit crags too after the warmer weather.

T-Crack dry at Cratcliffe, most stuff looked dry at Robin Hood's. Never thought of going around the corner to Jerry's Traverse, sorry. Stopped off to have a look at Burbage on the way past and there were a fair few streaks on things at Burbage North but the wind was blowing straight into it so I image most stuff would be dry now. Lots of people across at Burbage west, so assume it was all dry. Shame it's forecast to rain tomorrow!

Anyone been to plantation at all? Just wondered if Zippy's would be dry as I know it hides from the sun a bit on that side and not sure whether there's chance of snow run off...

There is no snow any more. Zippy's will probably dry out tomorrow if the forecast holds, but not til later on I'd expect.
