And yr.no have the snow as up to 1cm which I was sort of hoping

Never understand why folks would get their forecast from a computer in Norway when the best weather service in the world do a forecast for Stanage: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/leisure/#?tab=regionalForecast&map=Summits&zoom=10&lon=-1.66&lat=53.36&locId=371505.

Cheers for the info. Managed to get .5 miles from the hostel and had to walk the rest. Must try and find a premier inn or something in future though as these walls are paper thin!

Weather sounds iffy up there. Heading from south west to the north west via the peak on Friday and hoped to get some bouldering in somewhere. Have no idea how much snow hit the peak today, anyone any suggestions as to where to get a few hours bouldering in if it isn't raining that is. We were thinking roaches but any local knowledge and advice would be helpful. I have never risked the peak if there is snow on the cards - coming from north west the snakes pass is usually shut.  :please:

I'll wager the snake will be open tomorrow (for sure on Fri) as theres a big temp rise and its already melting and raining in Sheff (according to Slacklines tweets). Tomorrow might be log with melting & lots of we about, but I bet by friday there will be loads to go at.. anywhere exposed and fast drying will be fine I suspect..

Snows gone in Sheffield pretty much. Some big puddles. Clearing up for the weekend though... Hopefully some wind will sort it out

Have been driving around many small roads and they are ok now. Probably obvious but raven tor was wet, only went because I've never been there before and I'm on a rest day !

Anyone been out to Burbage area today? Is stuff dry or is it suffering from snow / run off?

pretty rainy in grindleford. walls and roads wet. Snow looks to be all gone from the higher ground so if its dry in the night and morning I should think most places will be fine.

I figured Birchen, being high & facing directly into what wind there was, had as good chance of being dry as anywhere but it was absolutely soaking wet, not a dry patch along it's entire length, water dripping off lips and an actual waterfall at the descent above the Copenhagen area.  The only dry holds I found were on the most exposed part of the middle ship although there are deep slush puddles beneath all three blocks.  I would imagine Burbage is similar but will be out somewhere tomorrow morning and will report back if I find anything dry.

Yeh I walked along north end today, rock was almost black with run off, 20 ft crack has a waterfall down it, there were massive cornices on sentinel on weds which have started to recede now, but things like banana finger and remergence were gopping, proper wet streaks all over. Small parts of rock were starting to look dry, like the lower part of triangle buttress and when I scouted along the top a bit there were some small rocks above the line of seepage that were drying out, I'd say you might be get the odd line by tommorrow, and patches more by the weekend, but not much. Bet Mother cap'll be dry...

Ok, BBG W was mostly Ok, though still snow drifts about and soggy underfoot (I made a little dam and stream to drain a quagmire below WSS.. Western eyes was fine, didnt see the nose.. Warm ups in between we're soggy though. Other side of the valley looked fine - though it was getting too warm when the sun was out (sherioushly).

I drove past Stanage and plantation etc,. And hard to tell.. I suspect many things will be Ok, but there will be some things out with seepage running down from still melting snow etc..

All the roads were ok, but watch out for some monster pot holes that have appeared and a 61 plate A4 that someone's parked in the ditch between Burbizzle and Stanage..

Snake was wide open too for those who might ask..

Mother Cap and Mothers cap pet rock were both dry and not too bad conditions up there. landing was alright under david and conan too, not too soggy.
Secret Garden was mostly wet, surprise surprise but left hand man and dick williams were both okish, i.e dry able with care and consideration.... would say things like Mossatrocity would be dry aswell
