Good luck with that, on my visits this year I reckoned the sun is so low in the sky over winter that the top never gets the sun, especially round the DW side which won't see the sun at all.

Not sure if this'll work but try clicking Satellite to see sunrise positions:

LHM gets any early morning sun, isn't a drainage line and will be directly in the wind so you've got a decent chance on that but I'd take a brush and maybe a towel and be prepared to give the top a sweep/mop.  Hope it's ok for you, great problem.

Low wind and no sun forecast for tomorrow... Probably good cold conditions somewhere.. but somewhere that dries fairly fast I suspect...

You can use The Photographer's Ephemeris app for iPhone or iPad or as a desktop program forgetting sunrise and sunset info linked to googlemaps so can check it for any boulder or bouldering spot. Dead handy.

Leotard legend bone dry and f***ing hard. Zorev was dry, but could have done with a brush on a stick to clean up the guppy/sidepull and the high jugs/ good holds. The problem The Sheep was dry and top out able. The rib was also dry but not great conditions. People on 7ball and attitude inspector.

yeah, was mostly dry but the higher right arete and the good holds in the upper bit were pretty snowy. Could be brush but I think it would be damp/  icey underneath.
Nosferatu was all dry though apart from a smattering of snow on the final buckets  ;)

What's it like up there at the moment? It's due to snow tomorrow, around 1cm, I take it the roads will be drivable with that amount on them?

Is Brad Pitt climbable in the snow? Has anyone been there lately to confirm it's dry or likely to be tomorrow? I was hoping to go to the Roaches but I guess it'll be pointless in the snow, would I be better off in the trees somewhere?

Sorry, not a Peak regular and no idea what's climbable in the snow!

Don't go into the trees! Haha deep snow at secret gardens so imagine other tree filled areas are the same.... Main road from sheff to hathersage was well gritted and clear...

Shit and Piss both fine up at Higgar today. Also The Terrace and Zaff's okay at Burbage N.

I got quite a lot of ice off the top off beach ball to try and let it dry but it was pretty bad.... The main section is like a frozen waterfall and the approach is foot deep snow....

It is, but it needs to be really cold - otherwise it suffers from drainage from snow melt. It's not a quick drying problem at the best of times either, being out of both sun and wind. In short, not the best bet but always worth a look. Pretty much everything else in the area is quick drying.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I'm going to give Burbage North a shot instead, always wanted to have a look at The Terrace.

Will save Stanage for another day, maybe Friday instead. Deliverance is top of the list but will have a look at Brad Pitt too!

When I ran past about 2ish the Terrace looked fine except the snow on the top jug, but I'm sure you could top it out through the snow. Lots of Higgar looked dry too.

Have you guys seen the forecast for tomorrow? because the ones I've seen predict a load of snow followed by a 5 deg temp rise and a load of rain...

Yeh, saw the forecast. Not meant to rain until 6pm onwards and yr.no have the snow as up to 1cm which I was sort of hoping would be nothing compared to what has hit the Peak so far this year. Happy to be corrected though as the last thing I want is to be stuck in snow!

Today was definitely a waste! The wind is blowing straight into Burbage North, everything looks fucked. Car couldn't get up the hill after the Bridge as the roads are terrible. Would guess that you'd be ok with a 4x4 though.

Anywhere cheap I can go and get some snow socks? I need to be able to drive to the hostel!!!
