its a repeat. Wasn't there something back in the day about Berry taking out a bit crashmat from a gym/foundry to do the FA, or was I cooking crack that day?

Fair enough, was that mat ever actually in the Foundry??

No video evidence ever surfaced.

It has a bouldering grade. You can climb it above a giant vat of marshmallows, with sixteen six foot spotters wearing jetpacks, it’s still a repeat; even if Berry had done the FA above a pile of landmines and dog-eggs.

If I'm right it used to be under the woodie cave bouldering area in The Furnace?

Not sure how much use this is, but the bottom of the road down from Higgar was looking totally clear, and there was no Road Closed sign. Also, the roads in Hathersage are completely clear. It will certainly be possible to get to some parts. I reckon getting to the Fiddler's Elbow carpark will be fine from Ringinglow, maybe even the Apparent North and popular laybys, but I reckon the road down to Plantation carpark might be a bit tricky on the way back up. This is pure guess work though.

Just driven back from north wales, drove via bamford edge, high neb car park, plantation car park, and burbage bridge in the van, so it's all pretty clear and accessable at the moment.

Carnage forecasted for tomorrow though, psyched to get the skis out!!!

Just had a wander along Burbage. Striker & Striker LH still both dry, and built a decent platform under Nefertiti, but the top out was snowy and I couldn't get to it to clear it off. I built half a platform under 3 Blind Mice, there's plenty of snow around there but still needs a bit of work moving it around to get a nice big platform. It's no where near the height it was a couple of years ago, but high enough to make the rock onto the slab safe enough. There's still snow on the slab but I brushed the top.
Looks like a more snow tomorrow on a S/W wind, so I think most of the rock will get plastered, and the weekend will be a right off. I'll be out with the shovel though, well keen for some decent landings when the snow recedes and the rock dries off!!

Been out this morning - roads all fine.

Went to Higgar first - Leaning block, very dry, lot of sheep poo underneath though as its where they are all cuddling up at night.
Covered this with snow and played on Witness.

Wind picked up and cold we went for a trot down the green drive.  West Side Story looked OK,  Higgar East looked well plastered.

Remergence butress was all dry bar snow on the finishing hold of Hanging Rib.

Lots of snow on the top of Nefertiti (didn't walk up) but the wall was dry.

3 Blind Mice wall looked well plastered in snow and would need an ab down to clear snow off.

Wind was really getting up as we left and starting to blow big chunks/cornices off the top.  (Where's the really bloody cold/shivery smiley).

You might as well give it a go, sure you might have a wasted trip but equally you may get to see him drop the last move over and over again ;)

I went to eatswood last sunday and was fine. Difficult to get there, had to go around way that didn't involv a steep hill but otherwise ok. Might be different story after tonights dump.

Ok, obvious caveat is it's forecast to dump a load more snow tonight, but as of today:

Platformed the base of twin cam / 20ft crack buttress at apparent north and brushed the tops down. Makes the landing on Shiznit a lot better. Might need to brush some of the snow out of the break to do twin cam though.

Stump Hole Cavern & Sean's Arete all fine too.

Main roads fine, ringinglow passable.

Plenty of snow about. A few things look doable at apparent north or look at the snow proof list.

Conan and David at Mothers cap were great around 12ish, Conan started to get wet although David was fine and the wet streak seemed to be drying so that could be ok.
Block and Tackle Direct was wet and had a Olympic sized sheep shit pool underneath, Witness the Gritness started to seep on the intermediate sloper but apart from that it was ok. The breaks looked abit suspect to seeping though
