Just had a look out there this morning, for potential snowballing later in the week.
Road to Norfolk Arms is fine, it was snowy but passable to Burbage N. Road to Stanage is 'closed' but you could get a car up to Apparent N, but probably no further unless you have a 4x4.

Remergence buttress was plastered above the 2nd roof, but Submergence and that low traverse both looked dry.
3 Blind Mice & Ai No Corrida were totally plastered

The only dry things were Striker (and the LH) and Nefertiti which will need the snow brushing off the top

Hampers Hang was plastered, the start to Skinless Wonder looked fine, and Stanage Without Oxygen will be do-able to the good hold but this will need a brush first

Overall, not much dry rock, stuff sheltered from the SE wind seems to be the best. Fingers crossed for the cold weather to continue and hopefully get a few platforms built by the end of the week

Just been out to the Norfolk Arms this morning for a few fresh turns.   ;D

Road is fine up to there, but I reckon 4x4 only after that (may improve though out the day as there is a steady stream of 4x4s going  over, and 1 audi A3,  Not sure how far he would have got, but made it up the hill out the village OK.  Of course the issue is getting stuck in the dip by the bridges.

Reckon Fox House road will be fine too.

Not too sure if it will be. Curbar was mixed today, Bad Landing was bone dry once the snow was brushed off in the morning but then the snow left started melting and it ended up abit wet. Trackside was wet. Great white and Bens were both good.
Think you would be able to find dry rock, Not to be taken away e.t.c tend to be fairly reliable.

A potential thought...has Adrian Berry's direct start to Windjammer at Burbage North (I forget the name...is it Enterprise??) ever had a repeat?

A possible snowballing target?

Have I missed something here, does snowballing have climbing specific meaning?

using snow to build platforms out of drifts below routes and climbing them highball stylee

Three Blind Mice was one of first to get this treatment:

And it is Enterprise, ttt, not sure re repeats, not that high though is it?

I'm full of 'em cha1n...of is that full of (sh)it? I can never remember...

[UKCdebate] Assuming it hasn't had a repeat then (and I'm in no way assuming that I'll be the one to do it!)...would a snowball repeat 'count'? [/UKCdebate]

I'd certainly take it!

its a repeat. Wasn't there something back in the day about Berry taking out a bit crashmat from a gym/foundry to do the FA, or was I cooking crack that day?

Yeah, from my early 2000's climbing mag memory that was the case.

In fact, a quick Google and voila!
