I reckon its going to be shit tomorrow. I'd recommend everyone go to the Tor or the Works tomorrow instead of grit.

Really good at the plantation today.
Cold, crisp, blue skies, no wind and amazing friction, what more could you want?

just been at stanage plantation, very windy as to be expected but everything I saw was dry, on/off spitting as we left 30 minutes ago. secret garden was soggy.

Does stuff on the gorilla warfare bit of curbar dry quickish? Will it be climbable tomorow? (forecast for good things, but cold)

GW dries fairly quick unless its got really wet underneath.

I could see out of my office window that snow has settled on blacka moor, so I suspect that burbage and stanage will have taken a hit too.

GW was a bit damp today but climbable, it had been plastered in chalk to dry it by the looks.  Muddy beneath and green in places on top.

Ran away just as a snow flurry came through just after 1ish and there's been a few more since.  Only takes 5 minutes to go and have a look though doesn't it

Just drove over Burbage/Stanage from Hathersage: raining in Hathersage, sleet near the Millstone Inn, heavy snow by the time you're near the top, settling quite a bit.

It got even worse later. Everywhere will be pretty damp tomorrow (except the Eagle Stone I believe)  ;D

anyone seen what the snow situation is?

the Hathersage cam makes it look like there's not too much snow, but I suspect that many boulders will have a pile of gently melting snow on top...

Just driven out to calver. Looked to be snow on the ground everywhere north of froggatt but dropping down froggatt hill and looking south there is very little snow on the ground.

Looked at bpitt yesterday before the snow arrived. Starting holds was dry but the groove above was piss wet.  Can't imagine things got better over night.
