Can anyone fill me in on what the conditions are likely to be like at Stanage tomorrow? The forecast looks good but having not been into the Peak for a couple of weeks I've no idea whether this will mean good conditions or meltwater running down everything...

Cheers!

Went out for a run and checked the first couple of buttresses at Burbage North.
Things looked pretty wet tbh and it wasnt climbable. Wind was reasonbly trong so there is a chance of getting out tomorrow (I hope)

Had a wander below Stanage. Looked to be a fair bit of dry rock about, though bitterly cold.

Been at Hamper's Hang this morning - I brushed the dry snow off and all was good.

The road over Burbage Bridge etc is covered in snow - now packed down, but perfectly drivable, unless you're in a BMW of course

Glorious sunshine when I left

Most of the Plantation was coated in snow today, there was the odd bit of dry rock for the keen. I brushed the snow off a few of the top outs and if it doesn't snow anymore then given the glorious sunshine I imagine there should be plenty to go at in the next few days.

Most of Curbar was dry (apart from GW area).

Robin Hoods stride was very icy apart from things in the sun, Cratcliff mostly icy aswell, Clifftop boulders were  all dry apart from the golden egg and Harthill was dry.

My mate Mike reported good conditions at Pleasley today. Worth considering in a similar future weather pattern. I bet sheltered SE stuff like Matlock Bank, Shining Cliff etc was OK as well.

Trackside was pretty dry-ish this morning.  Apparently Gorilla Warfare was also ok.

Burbage West was gopping at 1pm.

The sun hasn't been out at all despite forecast, so all the dry rock is in the wind.

Allright chaps. Got my one chance to climb this month on thursday (tomorrow), where do I go other than the tor  thats def going to be dry?  :please: I've done most of the always dry stuff like Desperot, GW, Night of Lust, Tierdrop start thing etc. Hampers hang area of stanage a good bet? Will that 7b slopey lip traverse thing be dry? Cheers.

hampers was dry yesterday so thats a good bet. the slopey traverse is more risky but would probably be ok. the forecast is good though.
