I had a look last thursday after checking out woodwell. Didn't spot a single dry hold at either venue - wetter than an otter's pocket enveloped by a wizards sleeve or whatever. The rain in that part of the world second half of last week was biblical. Might have improved this week? someone local/better informed might know more.

Don't suppose anyone has been down today? Was thinking of going on thursday, for the shelterstone. Is it usually OK if there's been no rain and a breeze being a lone boulder and all...?

Lots of dampness, mostly run-off from snow melt rather than seepage.

Bone dry today on South face of shelterstone. Too hot in sun at mid-day. Back side a tad damp.

Popped by this evening for a look. Red Wall was completely soaked from condensation and also seeping in quite a few places. The Shelterstone was also seeping a fair bit but was very soapy. Woodwell will be rubbish apart from maybe the bit around Not Bad Dave. In a word, merde. I went for a nice walk along the coast at Silverdale instead.

Bowderstone is also in a similar condition! Unfortunately I didn't go for a nice coastal walk instead drove 2hrs home! The joys of climbing in the north of England!!!

Shelterstone was dry enough for the pit problem and vitruvian tonight, surprisingly not midgy at all.

Been today and everything is dry, little greasy though as it was mega warm. No midges either! Even the low crimps of Iron Man are dry as well; getting into Virtruvian Man now from the start, progress has been made!

Was there last night. Both problems were dry, although conditions were far from good. It'll be fine tomorrow I'd have thought.

Was there yesterday and all ptoblems dry prior to rain coming on at about 1830. Had got to the car and drove off so no idea as to what will remain in good nick but it was a sharp shower.
All dry at Woodwell too, even aosd start holds. Only kaizen holds seepy but dryable

The shelter stone was dry today, red wall mainly dry with one or two streaks of wetness. Surprised to see "holds" on Il Pirata!

Does anyone know how fast the shelter stone is likely to dry on the front face after today's rain? It looks fairly good on the overnight and daytime forecast for tomorrow. Hoping to sneak in a session between 11 and 3.

not sure, its rained tonnes today and over the weekend. Red wall will almost certainly wet, reckon some lines will be dry though on the stone. I'm heading to thorn crag as that will be dry

Might be keen to meet you there. Got a few things to try after visit 1. Fire wall, endangered species, slice of life and anything on the loaf boulder. Probably get there for 12ish I guess!
