I'd like to make a climbing movie and I've tried various programmes  and all seem to have serious limitations. Can you suggest any good ones?

Its going to depend primarily upon what operating system you are using, and the hardware at your disposal (viz. are you shooting HD).

I can't offer advice as I don't own a video camera of any description, but you've omitted "Pink Anasazi's" and "Pain au chocolate" from your voting list.

Either Vegas Pro 8 or Premiere Pro, with a combination of something like After Effects, seems the most popular choice for HD.
