Is looking PANTS!

<sigh> just wish my copy of GTA Vice City was here, then I could spend the weekend taunting the filth.

Yeah, but I can't do Sunday  :(

Maybe an early start Sat and just nip out to the Peak but I was hoping to get further afield, up to Earl or even somewhere like Lord's Seat - see the topos on yorkshiregrit.com

It gets light at 7:08 am on Saturday, so you ought to get out at the crack of dawn (maybe having warmed up at home) and the conditions will be obscene - you'll stick to that grit like shit to a blanket!

I must admit gaylord's seat does look pretty "rad" - looks like you could do a monster curcuit and tick most of the problems in a visit if you went mad for it. How long, roughly, would it take to get there from sheffside?

Bloody hours I reckon - not entirely sure of the location without my trusty guide to hand, but reckon there's a bit of a walkin too. Rock looks nice as well. Probably not as far as Slipstones, etc.

Couldn't resist to start adding comments to the Brimham section, not that I know anything about the place or wrote the guide or anything.  Bloody modern boulderers, chunter, chunter.

There's some top stuff up on Lords Seat  - some of the problems round the back might be a bit green, but the vast majority would be in good nick - the V2 dyno is basically genius.

Rylstone is ok, but most of the stuff is quite highball, and really feels like an old fashioned trad crag.

What's the walkin like to Lords Seat? Is it a boggy horror or not too bad?

Not too bad (but pretty fuckin' uphill for the first half!) - they've actually paved the boggiest sections with big flagstones (a bit like on top of Dovestones Tor in the peak). I wouldn't wear your favourite trainers though.......

A 'good' half an hour (about 3/4 hr if you're lazy like me) - the return would be rocking on a bike  :D
