Forgive me for I have sinned and purchased said item, I was loathe to do so yet tired of waiting years for the mythical Lakesbloc guide or carting around veritable reams of printouts.

In light of there no doubt being disagreements between the gurus and the mavericks, does anyone have any clearcut grade corrections in the V4-8 range?? Anything that blatantly needs correcting, just because it would be useful if I'm in the area not to waste time having a V4 in a stead circuit when it's actually V7, or try projecting a V6 when it's a flashable V3 etc etc.

Ta for any help.

Actually you might be right there... Some right howlers on the easier problems at Carrock Fell, hmph.

Fiend, your best bet is to use the nice pictures in the RockFax to identify the problems, then look the grades up in the LakesBloc topos you have also taken with you.

My nominees for dubious grading (really only looking at the classics or we'd be here all month) are the following:
At least one, maybe two V grades easier than those quoted:
Strong Arete V7 Eskdale
Nova Scotia Arete V5 Carrock Fell (not height dependant as stated either!)
The Bastard V5 Carrock Fell
One or 2 V grades harder than given:
Kits Grooved Arete V3 Carrock Fell*
Canada Dry V3 Carrock Fell

*rectified with suitable grade in Lakesbloc topo
All of this is obviously not my opinion, its pure triple distilled fact.
