Also saw desert tortoise, which I was not expecting.

Was out on bike the other night and spotted a barn owl just sitting in the road. stopped and watched him for a while, managed to get a few terrible photos with my phone and then he flew off making nary a sound.

Saw a buzzard getting heckled by crows. Nothing unusual in this you might think, until I tell you it was above Prescot Road, 2 miles out from Liverpool city centre. Properly in da hood...!!

Was the buzzard's material any good, or did he deserve it?

Ha! I wasn't close enough to tell but the crows were quite rowdy so I suspect his material was indeed suspect and he deserved all he got...

Some wildlife pictures from last month's holiday to the Seychelle, sorry, there ended up being a few more than I intended.

Blue Pigeon

Hermit crab

Blue Spotted Ray

Sooty Terns and young

White Tailed Tropic Bird and young

big crab!

Hawksbill Turtle

Common White Tern sat on egg (that is the extent of their nests, just find a fork to balance it in!).

Crab Plover

Curlew Sandpiper

Lesser Noddy, with the hook on the tongue that grips fish visible

Crested tern and young

And finally the Seychelles Sunbird

I guess it was! Thanks for the tip off! Always wanted to feed a bird from my hand! Cake and peanuts, no wonder he was hustling everyone!

Awesome.

Saw a murmuration from the office Window on Monday. I've never seen one in Scotland before this. At first I thought it was just pigeons being blown around by the storm

Apparently it's not advisable to stand directly underneath them though. Especially with expensive camera gear.

I saw a barn owl whilst driving back from Newstones Thursday night. It took off from a fence post just past Gib Tor and wafted along level with my car for a good thirty seconds... Made my evening
